I was totally satisfied and I will recommend it to my friends!

I only stayed a short time. Location is great and staff is friendly. However, I f you want a single room as a solo traveler, you have to pay the price for 2. Also, expect youngsters to party very loudly all night, run into peeing people who don't lock the bathroom and drunks in the hallways.

Double room with no window charged at same rate as with window. Not informed it would be windowless box.

Good location. Staff relatively helpful although didn't go out of their way for anything. Able to leave luggage there for free on the morning before check in.

Wifi was good. We were on the 2nd floor and the music from the local bar was so loud it was hard to sleep. No window makes the room claustrophobic

I have stayed in hostels for about 20 years now. The mega cram everybody in the concrete edifice is just not why I travel. So no surprise that I did not care for the rooms( had two separate ones as I stayed twice) very cell like. noise from the floor above streamed through the ceiling .The kitchen was pretty well stocked and did provide lots of gas burners. I can certainly see why the "backpack ghetto" crowd I did think the reception people were polite and efficient and appreciated that !

This was my first time staying in a hostel while in New Zealand. It is your typical party hostel. Heeps of people coming in and out of your room late at night. The loud music was a little bit of a turn off, but it is to be expected. The rooms were okay. The comforters are in need of a good washing, as there were a few "white" stains... The carpets also need a vacuum. I have witnessed a house keeper that literally just comes into the room, sprays some carpet freshener and calls it clean.

Advert on Hostelworld said towel and breakfast included, and charged extra (there were 2 room options, 1 with towel and breakfast and 1 without) but was told when I arrived that it wasn't included despite being charged.

Carpets old and crusty in both room and in general - they look decades old. General decor tired and sub-standard. Shower door rotten and did not lock. Bathrooms old and unclean. Nightclub next door BOOMED through the thin walls till 4am...not everyones idea of a good hostel. Generally a run-down hostel in need of some repair and TLC. Location best thing going for it.

Good nights sleep but the showers had mild all over the tiles and grout and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time! The doors for the showers looked like they were going to fall off and the shower head its self had that much lime scale in that the jet of water was going in all different directions

The lack of any free wifi was a real downer.

Great location, 2 minute walk to main transit centre & loads of places to eat around. Staff were absolutely useless, rude & very slow. More interested in talking about what they did the night before than helping people. Luggage storage was a joke, stacked up to the ceiling in a small narrow corridor. Good vibe because it's busy but I would never go back.

If you have to check out before 6am you are not able to go in the kitchen!

One of the worst hostels I've ever experienced. The hostel is clearly "maintained" with the minimum of effort, on the smallest possible budget. The staff are either rude or incompetent or a mixture of both. As for the facilities, nothing in this place works properly, weather it's the driers or the showers. Our $92 p/n "private" sweatbox (with mixed facilities) consisted of four partition walls, no windows and no ventilation - it was unbearable, and unclean. Just an awful experience a

It's an ok hostel, located very central which is really nice. The main downside of the hostel is that there are so many people it doesn't have such a lovely atmosphere.....
