Cozy place to stay with a fun edge of adventure. Excellent breakfast, reliable internet and good people working there. It is also easy to join up on bicycle trips and volcano hikes with the adventure agency in the front of the hostel. Definitely recommend!

Great, friendly, helpful staff. Everyone was brand new and not able to help me with things like booking shuttles, but were able to direct me to a travel agency next door. The place was a bit empty but everything was spotles and the shower was great. Def recommended.

Mattress in the camp3 room is worn out. You can feel the springs. Nevertheless the room is quite nice with table and lots of shelfs. However our stay was pleasant in fun. Triple bunk beds in the dorm are quite an interesting feature. Staff is great and the lady in charge of breakfast is very nice.

Small hostel with a friendly atmosphere. Super friendly staff, Erin and Paula are so helpful. Paula even gave me a ride to the city right to my hostel. Great location, close to restaurants and small bars and a 5 minute walk to the main park. Breakfast is great, and the cleaning lady is hilarious.

Good: Nice laid back atmosphere, free breakfast, good location next to Cafe Nose which is a great bar Bad: Very thin walls - we spent most of the time in our room listening to people on the toilet next door. Overcrowded bathrooms. The staff were hardly ever around. Do not book travel/tours from this hostel, the manager took our money and then disappeared for 2 days and we found out at the last minute the booking had not been made! Overall: Friendly atmosphere but staff are never there

A nice small hostel with a friendly atmosphere and a nice breakfast of eggs, beans, bread, tea or coffee. It has a good kitchen which had everything we needed to make dinner. Location was good only a few blocks from the main square. Would recommend and stay there again.

There is no 24h attendence, you have to call when you arrive later than 6 pm which is not advised before! Then they give you a key so you can always enter the house.

Loved the chill vibe at Base Camp Hostel. The staff was super friendly and helpful with suggestions for restaurants, activities and shuttles. The breakfast was delicious and served by the sweet woman who keeps the place clean and comfortable. Great location - close to Central Park and many other attractions.

Staying at Basecamp was one of our best choices during our trip through Central America. The staff was great, the kitchen spacious. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and the charming Guatemalan lady who takes care of the house. We would certainly come back :-)

The orivate rooms was cosy, but the dorm had really really bad beds. The lady who made the breakfast was super nice and you felt welcome.

This hostel was clean, cozy and quiet. Breakfast and kitchen facilities were provided, as well as lots of common space. There are only a couple of rooms so it didn't feel crowded or over-full. The only problem was that a fellow guest had to let us in as there was no staff present. Luckily the other guest found us a key that another guest had left. Apparently the receptionist was on vacation and had locked the phones away so we couldn't even call the managers. Overall though, a nice place!

I found Base Camp Antigua to be a great place to stay. It´s kept exceptionally clean and the woman who does the cleaning can also cook a mean breakfast. Although not directly in the center of the city it is less than a five minute walk to the main square. I´d highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and relatively low key place to stay while in Antigua.

Bad services with no 24/7 hostel, not even anyone there in the evenings. Problems to make the payment, problems to check in, no structure at all, still good location and OK price.

The three story bunk beds are a little difficult to navigate, but were very comfortable. The Guatemalan lady who cooked us breakfast was absolutely lovely, with a bit of early morning Spanish lessons thrown in for good measure. A nice hostel.

Great place! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The décor is adventure/Tibetan/ski-lodge... in Guatemala. There are some nice common seating areas, and the wi-fi is decent. You are bound to come across other interesting travelers, especially if you stay in the 6-person dorm room. And there is a travel agency (for booking shuttles to Guatemala City, Lago de Atitlán, etc.) right next door.
