i stayed for one night. when you put the aircon on the dust from the wooden parts above the beds will fly around.

The place is gorgeous, looks like a resort. The biggest downside is there is no shuttle from the ferry to the hostel, so you have to either catch the bus or make the long, hot walk down with your bags. Add a free hostel shuttle and this place is perfect.

Perfect location on the beach!

The moment you walk into this hostel, you think: WOW, this beautiful! That image only lasts until you see the dorms and facilities: dorms have no mirror, no bench or something, only 2 sockets for 8 people. Toilets and showers are disgusting, partly due to the parties that happen at night and people who don't know how to properly dispose of toiletpaper.. During my stay there was no internet available, and staff wouldn't help with booking my next hostel if it wasn't BASE

Worst hostel experience from the whole East Coast mainly down to the manager. Her terrible attitude and customer service made leaving the hostel an easy decision. One person in our room urinated twice in one night all over the floor and on other peoples clothes. The night manager moved us to another room at 3 in the morning while the perpetrator was allow to sleep there until 10 the next morning. We also waited an hour to speak to the manager, who then just shrugged her shoulders and turned away

Best option on magnetic. Only cause there is nowhere else.. No BYO alcohol, really annoying. Staff wasnt very skilled or social. Christmas bbq epic fail. Bar closes at midnight. All plates and cups were always dirty. But... Very nice location. Cute houses to sleep in. Very nice pool. Atmosphere really chill. And i loved the island so def go here.

Probably the best place to stay in magnetic Island, but if you are not in the full moon party the place close at midnight, and you cant bring any outside alcohol to the place. Really good for relaxing an chill out but 2 nights is more than enough (I spend 3 nights and it was too much) You get to see all the island in 1 day with a scooter, motorcicle or car

Very good hostel, the staff here were amazing, some of the best i've come across on my travels! Base is a bit of a one stop shop on Magnetic as in, you sleep there, you eat there (apart from lunch) and you drink there- and of course dance on the tables! There are activities on pretty much every night as well which is really good, its located right on the beach and has a dive shop on site as well! Would recommend!
