The staff are pretty helpful and they try to keep things clean. I got stuck in an 8 mixed dorm with some messy people, but the staff come around to clean as much as they can. It can get a little loud at night, but not too bad. Overall, a good place to stay.The staff are pretty helpful and they try to keep things clean. didnt really like it because it was really busy and pretty unpersonal. just another hostel. kitchen is not too bad, shower and toilets were clean, rooms were a bit dirty since they were dorms inhabited by new ppl everyday. staff was pretty helpful and booked a few activities for us. we still had a good time because of the bar next door and the nightlife of queenstown.

Basically the hostel was really nice and I enjoyed the special treatment in the sanctuary-especially the free glass of champagne! However a hairdryer would have been nice and the bar wasn't great and seemed to turn into a club on the first night I was there, so no good for people trying to sleep!Basically the hostel was really nice and I enjoyed the special treatment in the sanctuary-especially the free glass of champagne! I had an awesome stay at base queenstown, great hostel and atmosphere, clean and really friendly and helpfull staff. Good nights in the Altitude bar, great way to end my NZ trip. good fun place to party decent rooms everything was clean and its right in thw middle of queens town not the quietest place but I had fun.
