Excellent location. Bathrooms can get really dirty. Some staff are very nice while others can be rude. Kitchen is awful--small with few utilities.
Awesome location, 6 bed ensuite was clean and relatively quiet
I arrived in Queenstown New Zealand and had booked this hostel online, just for 2 nights to see how it was, I'm now using it as my "Base" until I find permanent accommodation in the area. Okay so the beds squeak a bit and people are drunk till the early hours of the morning, but what good hostel isn't booming with atmosphere? The staff from day one have helped me get so much sorted already and their knowledge of the area is fantastic, its made my integration to Queenstown for the ski season ace.

I found the staff to be very accommodating. Even though my online reservation did not work, honored the price used by that quote. Cleanliness was ok
The showers in the cheap dorms are awful; it's worth it to get one of the better rooms.
Pro: Big rooms with very good lockers under the beds; directly in the city, not far away from everything; Free breakfast for guests who booked on hostelworld Con: Staff "forgets" to hand out the breakfast vouchers, so ASK for it, then you get it; Kitchen is a joke for the number of guests. No space in the frigde and only 3-4 tables where you can eat. People steal a lot out of the bags from the fridge! A lot of young travellers who are only there for partying
Nice room but mattresses were squeaky. Kitchen was extremely small and not enough space in refrigerators to keep food. Great location and staff,

I liked my stay in your hostel, but it was very noisy and also I didn't like the bloodstain on my bedsheets! The free breakfast and Wifi were very good tho. So my stay had its ups and downs.
My private room was VERY hot when I arrived. The heat had been left on. The window was sealed over and could not be opened to vent the room. Decently clean room with comfortable bed.
Not very nice having blood stains on pillow case.
Very busy hostel. Free breakfast is great if you book online. Could be better at cleaning the hostel. Needs a more thorough job cleaning the bathrooms. The girls only rooms are great with ensuite bathrooms. Didn't get my free glass of bubbly on arrival though.
huge hostel, quite impersonal. the only nice place to meet other travelers is the bar downstairs (and maybe the not-very-cozy kitchen). the bar is pretty cool (esp when there's live music) and they give you discounts if you're staying there, but it's often flooded with kiwi experience groups. if you're an individual traveler out to meet & talk to nice people i'd recommend haka lodge. if you're in queenstown to party then base is perfect.
Mat on the floor was dirty and sticky(!). Vents in the bathroom covered in dust, can not have been cleaned for a long time. Beds extremely squeaky. Kitchen area ok I guess. Probably a nice stay for the party kids. Nice location with Fergburgers a cross the street.
Great location and staff at front desk and travel bit are lovely!! Wifi is pretty good descent at around 6pm when everyone is on it gets a bit slow! Kitchen ok but quite small and gets super busy!! The bar attached is sweet. U get cheaper drink and food deals.. Amazing burritos!! Dorm rooms are sooo dark and u can't sit up in bed on the bottom bunk which is a pain, and the bathrooms need to be cleaned a bit better! Best thing is location!
Check in was smooth and organised, staff were great and very friendly! The Loco Cantina bar downstairs had some awesome burritos and seems to be the place to meet all the other backpackers. I stayed in a 8 bed mixed dorm paid the extra few dollars for the en suite which was well worth it!
Nice hostel. Nothing special about it. They could use a bit more fridges - with light (it's hard to find your stuff in the fridge). Beds are nice.
This is a chain hostel, and that's good and bad. The good, is clean, safe and big. The bad: it is big, u r bombarded with adds a every possible moment. I enjoyed my stay there but it didn't feel homely it felt industrial almost . The staff however saved the day. Friendly and knowledgeable. The location is amazing, as central as it can be.
