Another massive hostel which always takes away from any character. always good for banter but it just means theres more idiots as well! Right in the centre of town and kept very tidy for its size. I did not appreciate the fact that they didnt take actions when i'd told them about the guy in the bed above me was making love with a stranger. More personal and intimate than Base Auckland. But still big impersonal dorm feel on the contiki bus tour route. Expect people who want to drink. Location is good. Close to bus routes. Not close to ferry. The elevators were scary, scary. Doors would not open on a floor for me once. Reported but desk did not seem that concerned. TV area is icky.
