Excellent hostel, one of the best I've ever stayed in. Our room was double booked, but we got upgraded to the premium double, which had an ensuite and balcony. Felt like we were in a hotel that wouldve been triple the price!

Excellent place, excellent staff, excellent facilities. Wish I had more time to spend there. Nothing to complain about at all
Great hostel. Clean light and convenient. Beds awesome comfortable . Only issue is the smokjng area is wide open to the back street. All the security at the front and open all hours at back?
The hostel is in a building that used to be a warehouse apparently, which was cool. Inside there are tables, sofas and a bar that looked like a good place to chill. There was also a hammock and some benches out in the back yard which was a good social/smoking area. I stayed in the orange room and it was spacious with some really big beds if you're lucky enough to get them! The people were friendly which gave it a good atmosphere AND I got to travel for free on the tram with the ticket they gave
I just loved this place. :) The hostel is located in an old factory district but yet very close to the railway station (thanks for the first written advice I've seen that was easy to follow). I was desperately in need of a laundry machine, so I was happy to find one there. A free public transport ticket was also a nice surprise, even though in Basel you can also easily walk to places. Yet another plus: there are enough showers (with kind of changing rooms) and toilets for everyone.
Very clean and spacious hostel! First hostel I've stayed at with beds bigger than normal twins. Wifi worked great throughout the whole hostel. Close to a grocery store to be able to cook instead of going out to eat all the time. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I definitely recommend this hostel!
It is not far away from the train station and thanks to free public transport it's really easy to get to the city center. Basel hs a lot of museums and a lot of cultural things. The hostel 7s teally clean and the staff really helpful. So all in all recommendable!
I really liked this hostel! I was a nice clean place to stay in basel and the building and facilities were great! The place was quirky (it was colourful and had a broken bathtub fixed on the wall!) I didn't stay there long so I couldn't comment too much on the general atmosphere of the place, however, its still a good place to stay. (You get free public transport as well!)
Quite a good hostel .. Stayed there twice during my travels in Switzerland .. Only matter of concern was that at no time did they take ID.. On the first occasion I had booked two beds so they didn't even know the name of the person in the room.. Concerned me that should anything have happened they did not know who was in their hostel .. As I didn't get asked for ID on either occasion .. However I didn't feel unsafe whilst there ... Limited electricity plugs . One room of 4 only had 1 plug ..
One of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in. Handy location near main train station and the area around it is a quirky renovated factory space, lovely surroundings for sitting out with a beer. Beds were very spacious and comfortable, staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Will definitely be back!
I only stayed one night and it was last minute, but this is a good choice if you're looking for a safe, clean, well located hostel (10 min walk from main train station. Only downside: you don't get your owown locker. In my 4 bed room (which they upgraded me to) there were only two lockers. Tip: dont get the 8 Euro breakfast which is incredibly minimal, go to the grocery store on the corner.
A nice hostel, however we arrived with bikes and in spite of there being bicycle parking listed on the facilities, accommodating them was not straight forward and they had to be placed in the dining area of the hostel. Also unfortunately a lot of bugs in the rooms which brings the rating of my review down
This hostel has the coolest location in the world! It's a old factory type place and has dance classes, yoga, cafes and gardens and flowers everywhere outside! The one staff member we met was amazing, helped us with what to do and see. They even give you a free (max 30 days) ticket for the tram! The rooms where big however there were not many sockets and the beds were really dirty and mine even had toenails on it :/
Great hostel, very clean and great staff.
Had a very short, but very good stay and thanks to Mo I could get into the Rhein-flow :-) ;-).
The courtyard where the hostel is located is vibrant and refreshing.
Only stayed for one night, got upgraded to the guesthouse. Comfy beds, clean bathrooms, and loved that you got a free transpot ticket. Area felt really safe, and Basel is a beautiful city.
