Cleanliness of public area should b improve. The building was bit old where re-decorate or refurbish the hostel might help to improve the atmosphere in the hostel. Security was mot great, anyone can pop in and out as they wish, one of the hostel in london have security person or staff at the main entrance from evening onwards, the staff will check room card to ensure only hostel guest can get into the hostel.

Staff are friendly and beds are comfortable but the hostel is extremely run down and dirty. My room was missing the curtain the window leaked the floor was soaking wet, only one bath per floor. Showers only in the basement are also dirty.

The staff were young & do the best they can with poor guidance from the manager. Bathrooms, shower are very unclean, kitchen not much better, common room furniture is ripped, very broken down, tables were all in need of a good cleaning. Chairs in the reception area by computers are also torn over used and dirty. They have a Trip Advisor sticker from 2011 which needs to be revoked. Location is the only good recommendation to be offered.

great location, the staff were friendly but not conversation starting type of people. the showers were down at least two flights of stairs for everyone which was quite a pain. but the common room was good and the people were all friendly and talkative :)

I had a lovely time here. Everything was a short walk away, including the bus and train stations. It was really easy to meet people here too unlike in some hostels. Especially because you can choose how you want to socialise; party in the dungeon or relax in the common room. Everything else was as good as I'd expect; clean, tidy, friendly staff, good kitchen although it was messy because guests weren't putting their dishes away. Overall a really good stay.

Good hostel, GREAT location and friendly staff. The kitchen wasn't very clean...

Great location, close to the city. Rooms are clean, staff was helpful. Showers only on the bottom floor and no toilets on the top floor. Was also disappointed that there was only one electrical outlet in a 4 bed dorm.

Dirty and old. The staff is behind the desk.

The bathing cubicles were all the way in the basement, which was not so convenient, especially if we forget to bring anything. No power points were available in our room in the highest floor. When we asked the reception on the next morning, we were told that a socket board would be placed in the room but this did not happen. We had to charge our devices in the common room which took a few hours at night.

This hostel could improve a lot in lots of ways. Wasn't the cleanest place in the world, it was alright but there were some fruit flies that would come in to the room every afternoon so something must have been attracting them. There was also a lot of clutter around the rooms and common areas and kitchen, things that people had left behind that staff hadn't chucked out. There weren't enough lockers in the room and some were broken. Staff were nice and it's a hostel so you can't expect too much.

This place was very dirty. Unbelievable grimy out of the window there had been thrown toilet rolls and beer bottles which the staff had not even bothered to clean up. The window was jammed open with a bit of 2x 2 wood . Very small room in the roof which was wondering if was even legal !!!

Hostel is a fairly run down and not great considering the price.

Hostel was not what we expected. Very unconfortable. No toilets near the room, only three showers in the basement. No plugs. We couldn't charge our phones or even dry our hair. We had to do that in the common room. Kitchen was ok but it closes at 11 pm. People and staff were friendly.

This is a pleasant hostel which made Bath a very enjoyable destination. The rooms are very packed with beds so you feel cramped. There is no toilet on the 3rd (top) floor and the showers are in the basement. If you are on the top floor, like me, you have to go down 4 flights to have a shower which is a bit annoying but not the end of the world. The digital lock codes for room doors are not very secure but the lockers and good and the reception makes security adequate.

I had a great visit to Bath, a city I hadn't been to for many years. The hostel location is brilliant - you go out the front door and you are already in the centre of Bath. I have not stayed in hostels for a long time and was a little nervous. There was no need. The place was so clean which is testament to the effort by the staff. I met lots of really interesting people and had lots of interesting chats. The wifi could be better and the common room was a bit small (cosy?).

A fun and friendly hostel. The best atmosphere out of all the hostels I've stayed in in England. The staff are all very friendly and it was great to have a few drinks in the "fun-geon" with them.

No breakfast. First Hostel on my trip that didn't offer breakfast. Shared showers allll the way in the basement. Pretty inconvenient. Also, towels were pretty awful.

Hostel was what you'd expect, room was small but clean in a neat old building. Kitchen was quite run down.
