More Toilet and shower facilities could be provided. Clealiness could be improved. The dormitories seemed a bit over crowded. (the top section of teh buker bed was almost very close to the ceiling)

The room had not been cleaned properly ar there were item under some of the beds. The shower tempersture varied so much that the showers were unsatisfactory.

Nice hostel, great location near the train station as well as the historic part of the city. Staff were friendly and willing to help, but no city maps for guests when we were there. Only real problem with the hostel was not enough bathrooms for the number of guests (one shared m/f toilet on each floor and a slightly larger separate m/f bathroom in the basement). Also the kitchen storage (shelves and fridges) is almost all reserved for staff, with just a mini-fridge for guests to use.

The only criticism I have is that the paint work was shabby and therefore off putting- but at such a reasonable price I shouldn't really complain!

The atmosphere here was great, the staff are unbelievably friendly and seem very happy to socialise with guests. A very fun place to stay!

Great location, very close to the station and the centre of town. Nice lounge in the basement that's not advertised, great place for a drink. Would happily stay again.

Fantastic location! Just down the road from the train station which was ideal when I was struggling with my huge backpack and only a moments walk from attractions. Unlike my previous stay in Bath at another hostel I found the Backpackers had a very homely feel and was full of character. The common room turned out to be a great place to meet people as I was travelling alone, not only did I chat to other guests but the hostel staff were not only helpful but incredibly friendly. I had a great time!

The staff were friendly. The room that I was; the window would not close, so I couldnt sleep at night. The roof was so low you would bang your head if you were in any of the top bunks. The facilities were clean and the showers were hot any time I used them The hostel is located near the city centre and train station (about 600m away)

I can understand that it was not a hotel but cleanliness was really little. Luckily I did not need to use the kitchen which had a very bad smell and was perhaps not the place clean. The staff was very friendly. The location is really great. To sleep a night or two is good enough.

Beds were uncomfortable with old mattresses and exhausted pillows. Toilet really needed a deep clean and the shower pressure was a joke. The staff couldn't have been better though. Very friendly and helpful.

The staff were helpful and friendly, but the hostel looked like it could really use a good scrub and vacuum! The location is excellent, although Bath is small and nothing is too far away. Oh and bedbugs. I was hoping I was imagining them – but turns out they're definitely there.
