I can say this is the best hostel I have ever stayed! The bed and linen are clean, so is the toilet Also, breakfsat is included, bread and cereal,or pay 2.2 pounds for English breakfast. The staff are very friendly, Also, there is also a TV in the common area. If you do not want to go to pub at night but do not want to go to sleep so early, it is a good way to kill time. Only not good thing is people open and close door often as i am in 10 male dorm,a bit noisy, but it is not YMCA's fault

As an older, female and single traveler, I was quite comfortable at the YMCA. I will recommend it anyone wanting great location at a great price.

Had a really good experience. Excellent facilities, well worth the money. The location was outstanding, such a good base for the city.

As first timers at YMCA, my friends and I thought it was good value and very friendly. Shame nothing could be done about the weather!

I stayed in Room 207 from 25-28 November 2009. It was really good value for money apart from my room was freezing. I borrowed the duvet from the spare bed so I'm glad no one else was using it! Also I had a shower in the cubicle on the left of the shower room opposite me. I had to hold my breath as I washed as the shower curtain REALLY smelt of mould.

Although we had booked (and paid) for two nights stay, we decided to stay only one night. The rooms and toilets were not very clean and smelled musty. My friend and I had requested adjoining rooms but were accommodated on the 1st and 3rd floors. Disappointed with what could be a great, brilliantly located hostel.
