The YMCA in Bath is a great place to stay. The location is excellent and the staff are all very personable and helpful. Will definitely stay again when we visit Bath.

The staff were helpful and tried to find someone else if they did not have the answer. Felt safe and secure. Room was very bright (like the choice for curtains, etc.). A shelf on wall by door next to sink to place items would be nice...very simple one.

Some improvement would be good regarding the washing machines ( very dirty and one out of 2, broken) and access to internet.(slow and sometimes not working)

Breakfast was a bit spartan, and my room was oppostite the women's bathroom (I'm a man) but otherwise, very pleasant place to stay, cheap and good value.

nice hostel good staff, though wasnt impressed with the cleaner coming into my room while i was still in bed at 9am thinking i was part of a group leaving (which i wasnt!) and she didnt even knock first! just opened the door!! so that was a bit unnerving, but apart from that i would come and stay again thankyou

It may be a little difficult for strangers to find the place. Unlike most of hostels, I had to pay a little money to use the Internet(wi-fi).

For a budget place this was good. Being in the centre is great so walking everywhere is easy. However the hostel reeked with the smell of cigarettes even though smoking was not allowed in the building. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great.

Good location close to night life. Clean and very large rooms with good sized lockers. I'd stay again.

Among all the hostels that i have been to. The YMCA complimentary breakfast was very disappointing for the price we pay. The dining area could be rearrange into a better navigated space. The coffee machine and juices were separated from the toast and cereal. It was placed at the counter for food needed to be paid. It did not appeal as free drinks. The breakfast time was too early. I think this hostel suits for study trip, but NOT vacation. The bed is really comfortable. overall, it was ok..

Facilities were nice and luckily Bath is pretty small so it was close to many of the main attractions. Breakfast was also good. Wireless access should be included in the price though and not charge separately. Staff was nice even though we were late checking out.

I am a size 12 woman, so was surprised to find the shower stalls a very tight fit. Don't know how anyone larger would be able to manage.

If you are looking for a clean, nice place to stay with some good breakfast included, YCMA is the place to go. Very friendly staff, good location an extra facilities like restaurant and gym available at a low cost. The paid WiFi connection (£1/hour) was rather slow, but rest assured you won't have any bad experience with these guys. Would definitely recommend it.

The location is great, However I have to say that mattresses, duvet and cushions were really old and looking dirty

Found it poor that they've removed all the power sockets from the rooms so unable to charge mobile phones etc... except in Reception or corridors!

My expectations were a lot higher and I was disappointed with the overall experience. As a first time visitor to a YMCA I was expecting a friendly and helpful introduction. What I got was just run of the mill garble about the room toilets and breakfast. Would it be too much to ask that whoever is on reception to pull themselves away from the computer and show a little interest in the guest, conversation should be your main source of information. Simon Bath Honiton Devon Very Disappointed.
