Please do not go too early to check in because the main door is locked and they open exactly sharp at 2.00pm for checking in. If you arrived early, you got to stand outside and wait, winter time you will be freezing outside.

Be aware that the shuttle service to the airport is unreliable.

Poor security. Not what it appeared to be on the internet.

Staff were extremely helpful on my two nights stay, the second of which was forced on me by the non arrival of my baggage from Jetstar. I couldn't have asked for more. Excellent service.

We were called on the night of our reservation saying if we arrived before 9pm we'd have to pay an additional $20 EACH, effectively doubling the cost of our room. It doesn't mention this on the hostelworld site at all. The manager wouldn't listen to us on this matter and said you either pay the extra money or he wouldn't unlock the door for us. Never have I seen such horrible customer service... AVOID!!!

Good location, wifi good speed

A nice hostel, there wasn't many people there when i was there, so there wasn't much of a backpackers atmosphere, but a great place to stay if you visit Launceston. I would definately recommend it...

The room was so different from what we saw from website, be honest, I will not book the hostel if I know the truth. The photos were not tell people the truth. Two men in reception, one is very nice and kind and the other one who has the dog was not nice. When we asked to change the room at the beginning, he told us the rooms have been fully booked. The room we stay at the first night was clean but small and old, the stuffs were broken. We asked to change the room the day after, and got good one.

Very unfriendly staff when we called to say that we are coming later than we thought because our trip took a bit longer. everybody have to pay 10 dollars when arriving after 9pm. i don't know if its true because we we luckily in time. our twin room was very dirty it didn't seem that anybody cleaned it before we arrived and you have to pay 2$ for bed sheets. our little bathroom with toilet and shower was okay. i wouldn't go there again.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. The rooms had their own bathroom which were nice.

Staff were excellent, very friendly and funny. Only stayed there one night but our room had an ensuite and the setting of the hostel was very quaint. Seemed like good value for money.
