The hostel was in a great location, but it was a little tricky to find when I first got there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast onsite. There were no outlets in the bathroom, which was frustrating when trying to fix my hair.
Great place to stay for a trip to Berlin. The staff were great. Paula is a gem. Bathroom facilities weren't the best but manageable. Would recommend to friends.
The common area is really sweet and the upstairs has a good vibe. The 30 bed dorm is in a basement and they light the place with black lights so its got a dungeon feel and the much needed AC is really loud. In any case I slept well. Fantastic location, walking distance to the TV tower, Brandenburg Gate and museum island is only two blocks away! I'd stay here again but probably would upgrade and pay a little more of get out of basement
Sleeping in the 30 person room felt very uncomfortable. Staff was accommodating, location good.
Great hostel, several common rooms including a big bar area, quiter room with a pool table and tv, and a big outside terrace. Quite rooms with plenty of outlets by the beds. Good bathrooms too
Breakfast should include some cool drink like orange juice or at least watet
This hostel offered a unique experience within its space. The style is reminiscent of the 50s era with the furniture all to match. They wifi work great except at times when there would be a bottle neck in one room but as described by the receptionist it was just a matter of switching to a less crowded area. The lounge is a great place to hang out and the big "green" outdoor space offered another zone to relax whilst catching a few rays. Overall needs kitchen but very clean and great atmosphere.

Good rooms, lockers, showers, Internet, bar, staff, prices! A bit too expensive breakfast for a budget and no cooking area but good food and kiosk! The airconditioning in 30-bed K-studio is loud but it works and I somehow sleept trough it like a baby!
My general impression of the hostel was excellent: a cool vibe, a friendly welcome from staff, good facilities, central location: all in all everything you'd want from a hostel!
The hostel is really clean and comfy even in the 30 bed mixed room. It is a good place to stay if u want a silent night and the neighbourhood of the hostel is really nice and close to the city center. The only bad thing is no wifi and power plug in room/bed.
Great location in close to the Berlin Dome and the television tower alot you can walk some its beter to go with public transport. Hostel it self. Staff are amazing very friendly and helpfull breakfast is ok but do get the buffet as you can eat what you want. Rooms are clean and lockers are big enough for your bag bit do bring a LOCK with you as its not provided. Shower is good only you have to press the button for water every 20 seconds
poor internet conection at the end of the night!! every night is the same!
note! no kitchen.. what a wierd place, 30 room dorm.. hmm... could have done that nicer - simply by adding some kind of lighting... and maybe turnig on an AC - it was rediculesly hot! all kind of pricy.. regarding the fact that there was some kind of a extra payment for everything (including pool table soccer table, sheets, keys and so on..) staff were really nice, helpfull and all.. wifi worked ok as well
I absolutely loved this hostel! As a young woman traveling alone I'm looking for a safe place to stay and also meet people. Baxpax hostel is just that! It's a great location with friendly and helpful staff, and the downstairs lounge is the perfect place to hang out after a long day in Berlin
A large basement for a 30 to 40 bed dorm with no lighting and very poor ventilation is a bad idea for a youth hostel.

the staff is not very nice. A woman went to wake me up to my bed and told me not to forget to check out ON TIME... LIKE if I didn't knew that already! The "room", if we can call it room is really dark the hole time, ther'es no way to know the time in there anda I don't know how they do the cleaning with so little ligth. Plus--.. the wifi doesn't work in the "room". Only in the lobby
I very much enjoyed my stay at Baxpax downtown hostel. The staff were excellent! I was in the K-studio. At first the lack of lighting was a problem. The room was quite large & the only light came from lamps next to the beds & From a skylight. However after being there a few nights I realised that as other people were coming & going all Through the night, it was probably best there wasn't a main light!! Excellent value for money & the hostel was walking distance from the main sights!
This was a good hostel. I would recommend staying here for those who are not alone. They are very friendly and super helpful with any questions you have. The bar that is attached has great food. It's a nice looking hostel super clean and nice common area. There not a community feeling to it, more like a hotel than hostel.

This hostel is in a great location, within walking distance to many areas. The atmosphere of the hostel itself is quite nice as well. It's very easy to meet people, chill out, or have a beer. There aren't adapters on all of the top bunks which could be a concern. Also, the bunk beds are extremely squeaky. Overall this is a great hostel and I would definitely stay here again.
