Enjoyed our short overnight stay here. The guy on the front desk arranged for our motorbikes to be secured under shelter, which was awesome and unexpected. The place was buzzing with punters on Kiwi E tour, and was a great atmosphere. Until approx 11.30 PM, when adverts all told to go to bed. Didn't realise there was a curfew, whichtook away from an enjoyable, quiet conversation with a traveller from Denmark. There is also a `No Alcohol` curfew of 9.30 PM for the hostel grounds. Will be back :)
Staff were friendly and helpful. A busload of kiwi experience hooligans were outrageously noisy when they came in around midnight, but they did respond when I confronted them, and kept the volume down after that. The bikes for our use were a and the handy and in a good state of repair,The surf gear/surf lessons were a nice touch.
It was a nice hostel with a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, we liked the theme of the hostel and would stay here again.
The free pudding and ice cream is great, but no door locks is weird and unnerving.
Great hostel, great staff, stayed here for xmas and there was a great atmosphere. The guys were even happy to drop us off and pick us up to go stand up paddle boarding on xmas day! We booked a private room which was such great value. Facilities were clean. We Had a really good stay :)
A really lovely place to stay for a few nights. smaller hostel with much more friendly atmosphere compared to large flashpacker hostels. Offer surfing and paddle boarding from reception. free wifi a big plus. several kitchens well equiped to make anything you like. very chilled and relaxing stay. would recommend to anyone
Cool vibes at this hostel, however our 4 person dorm was absolutely tiny. Just enough room for two bunk beds. Our bags barely fit! I also thought it was pretty strange that they started blasting music at about 8am, one way to get people up and checked out! Otherwise I enjoyed it, cool people... A lot of hippie vibes going on in that place!
Extremely friendly and accomodating staff, but for this price a bit of a shabby place (old smelly furniture).
Nice hostel with good facilities except for the showers which went ice cold from time to time. The wifi was free which was great but it´s range was pretty poor.
