Lovely hostel, good facilities and very cozy living room with a fire and tons of DVDs. Only stayed one night but would stay again if in the area!
Such a cool looking hostel, I love the hipness of the garden! Generally a good place for a few days, but nothing much to do in Wesport.
Small kitchen, otherwise quite good. Please could you advertise if you accept tour buses like the Kiwi Experience. Had I known I would not have stayed at this hostel. Also the wifi username and password system is flawed. Once one person knows they simply tell the rest of the hostel. Either make it free or have a more secure system.
Pretty standard really. Spacious, clean rooms; clean and plentiful shower/toilet facilities; decent Wi-Fi. Crowded and busy due to its inclusion on the Kiwi Experience itinerary, which ruins the atmosphere somewhat. Location is average, but frankly ere is little of interest in Westport to be close to anyway. On the other hand the staff are friendly and helpful and surfing lessons can be booked from reception. If you must stay in Westport this place is as good as any.
The staff is really nice here. The guy at the reception hooked me up with a woofing job, which was awesome. I also paid for my accommodation and surf lesson by pairing a mural on their wall. The hostel can feel a bit divided. There's the Kiwi Experience people that stay in one part of the hostel and the other people that hang out, cook etc at another end.

Enjoyed our short overnight stay here. The guy on the front desk arranged for our motorbikes to be secured under shelter, which was awesome and unexpected. The place was buzzing with punters on Kiwi E tour, and was a great atmosphere. Until approx 11.30 PM, when adverts all told to go to bed. Didn't realise there was a curfew, whichtook away from an enjoyable, quiet conversation with a traveller from Denmark. There is also a `No Alcohol` curfew of 9.30 PM for the hostel grounds. Will be back :)
