Bdeiwi Hotel is one of my favorite hostels i have stayed in. the moment I walked in to the door I loved it. I were immediately warmly greeted, offered tea, excellent food and argile/shisha on the roof top. The roof was just one of the dream like aspects of the place- good music playing, the smell of the barbique, stories being told, all as you feel the fresh Jordainian air. AIRPORT pick-up is great idea, trees and whitestone buildings at the center of the city. highly recommended this place.

I enjoyed my stay in the Bdeiwi hostel very much. The location is perfect, quiet at night even though it's very close to downtown as setled just around the corner of Hashem restaurant. The rooms are big wth private bathroom and are rented for a cheap price. The staff is very friendly and helpfull, they made a great tour for me to Madaba, Mt Nebo and Dead Sea for a good price. I felt very safe and comfortable with them, they also gave me some nice advices on things to visit in Amman.

Unfortunately I could not stay due to complications but the Staff was amazingly helpful. Their service was very prompt for all my changes to typical travel scheduling issues. The staff member Ali Mousa is excellent and was very considerate & prompt with regard to my changes & also eventual cancellation. I thought the location was good one when I booked it and same with value for money but cannot say anything about other things as I did not stay & had to cancel. The staff is very helpful

Pro: Located near Downtown Amman, 5 mins walk to Roman Amphitheater, 20 mins Amman Citadel. The main strip is just a block away, you can find many shopping and food shops. The hostel drove me to the Airport on my departure date for 20JD Con: I email the hostel with my arrival info, they never replied and I emailed again, nothing. I showed up at airport & no one was there. The room is damped & cold. Hot shower is just drips of water. Some rooms are next to the call of prayer, VERY loud at 4:30am

The hostel is a good place to stay if you are not going to stay there for long due to its good location. However, when we arrived we were treated like we were an inconvenience and had hostel rules barked at us like we were in the military. Down stairs seems to be more of a man's club than a social area. The bedroom looked more like a cell and it was pretty cold. I should say though that although some staff were a bit abrupt, others were very helpful, so thank you to them.

The hostel looked as if it might have been a decent place to stay in 1963. It was dark and the rooms felt like prison cells. The beds were ancient and you slept in the hollow left by hundreds of previous travelers. However, on the plus side, there weren't any rodents. If you want somewhere cheap and central to stay in Amman and don't mind slumming it for a few nights, Bdeiwi hostel is fine.

I stayed here for 2 nights in a dorm room and didn't have any problems, although the mattresses could do with replacing as there seems to be a huge dip in every bed? Yes the bathroom was a little grubby but i suppose coming to Jordan from India i was used to dealing with this. The staff were very helpful but if you can try and avoid booking a tour with them as you can easily organise whatever you want to do on your own, don't be fooled by them telling you that the buses don't run today etc etc.

It's a clean and nice place to stay. The hotel manager is sometimes a little bit to overwhelming when it comes to booking trips. The location (after you found it) is really good - you are in the heart of downtown Amman. 5 Minutes away from the roman theatre and maybe 10 minutes from the old citadelle. There is an amazing view from the top of the hotel - all over downtown Amman! and a famous street restaurant just around the corner. (spend 2 jod, breakfast at bdeiwi sucks) Enjoy your trip

Room was dirty and sheets had to be changed. Bathroom was very dirty and toiled flush just leaked all over. More expensive than all other cleaner, friendlier places around downtown. This one just tries to cash in on the backpacker crowd. Owner almost forces you to take one of his over-charged day trips (Petra, Jerash, etc) and becomes very rude if you politely refuse. Avoid, better to pay a few extra JD's to a real hospitable Jordanian place.

Bdeiwi Hostel is a good choice for people on the low budget. Great location , easy access to all major attractions of Amman definitely is a plus. Nice , international staff is always there to help you to organize the trip around Jordan. They provide with transportation to all major Jordanian touristic attractions and Amman airport ... Atmosphere in the hostel is very friendly.

The hotelmanager is really kind and help everybody if there is any need for. He speaks fluently english and also portugues. At the hotel there is also a nice roof top where you can spend wonderful evenings talking to each other and to enjoy a wonderful view over Downtown Amman. The hotel also offers daily trips to different locations like Madaba, Mt. Nebo, the Dead Sea , Jerash and so on youy only have to ask for. The prices are good so it is really worthy. We could recommend it.

We picked this hostel as it was the best value for money in the city so from that point of view it's great. However it definitely could do with a spruce up and isn't particularly clean. The staff were super welcoming at first but weren't quite so friendly after they realized we weren't going to book any tours with them.

A lot of 'confusion' about what I had actually booked and was liable to pay, doesn't get a trip of to a good start. Breakfast is not included.

This hostel kind of sucks. The beds are all sagging in the middle which makes sleeping on your stomach kind of a no-no. Generally the place just has no vibe. The owner is probably what the other reviews would suggest - a pretty sleezy dude who is always looking for a reason to get some more money out of you. Not cool.
