I especially liked the design of the hostel bunk beds - they are attached to the wall rather than to each other - which means that you don't have to deal with "earthquakes" all night long as your bunkmate tosses and turns - a great bunkbed design which I wish more hostels would adopt. I was not so keen on the fact that the bathroom in my 10 bed mixed dorm had no lock on it though. The breakfast was decent, especially considering it's included in the price - toast, cereal, and tea and coffee.

Super duper! I've stayed here twice now and love it, the staff is always very helpful, it's in a great location.... as long as you're comfy walking past the ladies of the night. Very safe, wide range of people... and all that good stuff.

A nice hostel and perfect location. Very safe, as there are free lockers working with key cards. But they should work on their staff's friendliness when faced to problems, as giving out beds twice and as a result coming into the room in the middle of the night accusing the one sleeping of being in the wrong bed is not very nice...

The street was a bit sketchy at night, but the hostel itself is really awesome! It is about a minute walk off La Rambla and right by two major metro routes. Had a great week in Barcelona - the tours offered are really great as well! The kitchen is on the small side, and the wifi didn't always work in my room, but the atmosphere was really chill and the staff were really helpful! definitely recommend Be Mar to anyone staying in Barcelona!

I highly recommend it !! The location is great, near Metro stations and a walkable distance from important sites (just pay attention to pickpockets during the night ) and bars. A busy hostel to make friends and interact with others...dont expect to have a quiet and smooth night of sleep. Cleanliness is alright. Dont forget to bring your flipflops! Nice staff and atmosphere and the value for money is great!

I had a great time at Be Mar hostel! The staff was genuinely welcoming in a chill way and was always willing to help a sister out. It was my first time at a hostel but this has definitely set the bar for me. Even the cleaning staff were quaint and I'd stay here again with or without a budget because the age range here made me, a young adult, feel comfortable.

It was a good stay. But it is more a party hostel, so if you like to have a good sleep and go to bed early it is not the best choice. Unfortunately my old denim jacket was stolen by the window. That does not mean that this is not a safe place to stay. You get a key card for your room and your own locker.

Location is dynamite-close to everything and walking distance to my ship. Just look out for local pickpockets. The walking tour guides show you things you cannot see from a bus. Barcelona is a fine city to visit

Staff wasn't that friendly. Place appeared a little bit dirty. It was very difficult to obtain some hot water in the afternoon. Door to patio couldn't be closed... Kitchen is too small for more than two persons.

Great size of storage lockers, really enjoyed the walking tours and the rooms were clean. The timers of the lights in the bathroom were annoying but manageable.

A nice place to stay, as it is just a couple of blocks from Las Ramblas. There isn't much of an atmosphere to meet people here unless you go on the walking tours or pub crawls. Decent place to stay if you are traveling with others.

Overall à great place. Clean, good facillities, à location near las Ramblas. On the corner there are some prostitutes but we didn't have any inconveniënces. The place is clean and the value for money is excellent.

Wonderful place, nice people, nice rooms! Would recommend it for sure. The bathroom in the lobby did cause one problem for me, and they said that they were working on it, but as I was drying my hands some cockroach bits flew out of the dryer and hit me; a quite unpleasant thing. I guess that it was hanging out in the dryer. They need to take care of this.

Very Nice hostel. The price is a little bit higher than other hostels but you have breakfast included and facilities that are really useful like a free locker in the room. The staff was very nice with us!!

Location is really very good! You are in the centre, just few minutes from underground, near the hostel there are a lot of bar and restaurants. Our apartment was big, confortable and clean. It's ok for a week end in Barcelona! Breakfast is a little poor and you have to wash your dishes in the kitchen. Barbara&Alessandro from Italy, we 5-7 april 2013

We enjoyed our stay at Your hostel, thanks. The 24h reception was great, because we arrived late and left early. Things we disliked: Both times we run out of hot water very fast. In room 1A after having shower, water appeared on the other side of the wall under the table. We wanted a double-bed but there was two mattresses on the bed, that slid apart after every move. About going to the airport the information was false... N17 goes to T1, N16 to T2.Single ticket isn't valid on the train.
