Good, clean, friendly, secure with swipe access into the hostel/rooms & individual lockers. Each bed in our 6-person mixed dorm had their individual light & PowerPoint. Beds were comfy enough but the flip down bunks were a bit of a mission to get into when the room was full as the tiny ladders were blocked by the next bed. Lockers big enough to fit standard sized luggage. Only 1 shower & toilet per floor for each gender but this was never an issue, simply walk up or down to the next level.

Booked a double and ended up in an apartment across the road from the main hostel. It was basic but perfectly adequate - very quiet and kitchen well stocked. It was clean - the only criticism was that the couch had many stains on it which made it unappealing to use. Staff were all very friendly and helpful ~ especially Talia and Sixtene. A big bugbear for me was the obligation to like their facebook page before you could use the WiFi. I don't 'do' facebook and therefore could not use the WiFi!

The atmosphere was amazing, we have met a lot of nice people from all over the world, also staff was helpful and nice. For this price I would not expect something that good.

this hostel could have been one of the best I've ever stayed at, unfortunately it ended being an awful experience. we only found out on arrival that the rooftop balcony shuts at 10 even though the sign says 11. probably one of the reasons there is no atmosphere in this hostel. also the guy working at night was very rude. much better places to stay in Barcelona

The Hostel is awesome and the staff here is super helpful and nice! There is an additional tourist tax that we were not initially aware of, and if you choose to leave your backpack in the hostel beyond or before check in it costs an extra 2EUR everytime you unlock your locker! The only bad thing is that the street that this hostel is on is kinda sketch at night because there's a porn store at the end of the street, so if you're partying and have to walk that way make sure you're not alone!

very nice Hostel. helpful and friendly staff, good location, just 5 minutes walking from the rambla, lockers in the room, free WiFi, walking tours in the morning, terrace on the roof with mojito parties and music! I will come back!

Not the best but not bad. Staff are really friendly so makes up for it. Free walking tour in the mornings. Excellent kitchen facilities. Big communal TV. No breakfast provided. Have to pay to use lockers after check out. 1 male and 1 female shower & toilet per floor (up to 24 people). No shower curtain in the male shower on 2nd floor so anyone using the toilet is welcome to view (during all 3 nights at the time). Free computers and free wifi although it's hard to get a connection from some rooms

(+): location is perfect, staff were sort nice and attentive, terrace, large lockers, large eating area (-): common room on bottom floor away from everything else, kitchen messy and wasn't cleaned during the day, kitchen closes at 23:00 (it's spain, they don't eat dinner until 22:00!), creaky, shaky bunk beds

Nice hostel, helpful and friendly staff, and a cool terrace... the problem was airconditioning instead of normal ventilation, I tend to feel sick if there's too much. But the staff was also helpful about that.

Stayed here for 8 nights and it was great!! The staff were all welcoming and young. Great to meet new people and socialize downstairs. And it's located conveniently; 2 minute walk away from las ramblas, 1 minute walk from the parallel which is the underground subway. And other convenient stores. Wifi first floor sucks, the rest floors work perfect. Hot showers and great view from the terrace. I paid for a 6 mixed bedroom and they give me a 8 but it was so great here I didn't mind.

Awesome hostel in an amazing location. I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The hostel is clean and the social area downstairs was a great place to meet other solo travellers to hang out with. Also, having access to the kitchen was nice. The roof terrace was sweet and there was always a great vibe. I`ll definitely stay here again if I come back to Barcelona!

It was a good ,clean place close to the centre with plenty of computers and good value for 6 euro a night. There was no free drink or tapas as advertised probably due to the low price.

I had a great time in Be Sound Hostel, It seems it has been recently renewed and has a great kitchen, sunny terrace, relaxing common area and comfy rooms and beds (next to a big locker to put your stuff in it). The staff is very friendly and always ready to help you with any question you may have. The location can't be better, right in the center of Barcelona, a few minutes walkIng to the main attractions. Don't miss the activities, walking tours and pub crawl. I'll be back for sure!
