Be Sound is centrally located near Barcelona Aquarium, Maremagnum and La Rambla and is surrounded by shops, food markets and restaurants. Guests have told us 'this hostel has everything you will need for your trip...[and] is quiet enough for sleeping but wild enough for partying'. The friendly, enthusiastic staff have a good knowledge of the city and they run daily tours, pub crawls, flamenco experiences and tapas tastings. We like that there's key card security for both rooms and lockers.

Be Sound is a cool, modern hostel in the perfect location. With us you can easily explore Barcelona and enjoy our young and friendly environment. It’s only two minutes’ walk from Las Ramblas and the port and is located in the partying and shopping area of Barcelona.
Our hostel has great character and many chill-out areas. From our huge common room, the small but lovely roof terrace, the friendly international staff, cultural tours, spicy flamenco shows and daily tapas-tasting, it is the perfect place to hang out and meet new people.
We give you loads of free stuff, like breakfast, a locker with a personal key, Wi-Fi and internet, local maps, walking tours, air conditioning, dinner vouchers and even a free drink and tapas at check-in.
It’s also free to use our fully equipped kitchen.
We offer six- and eight-bed dorms, with 100 beds in total. There’s air conditioning and heating in all rooms - very important for the very, very hot Spanish summers! All beds include a free pillow, duvet and blanket. Sheets are available to rent from reception.
Please be aware that the apartments are located in a different building but still include breakfast, linen and towels.
You can use our luggage storage after check-out if you are waiting for late planes and trains. We have laundry facilities and reception is open 24 hours. Each room, as well as the front door, is locked with electronic keys, providing a safe environment during your stay.

We offer a lot of extras to guests, like free drinks and tapas, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, free maps and a free locker next to your bed (with a free key!). This is also the drop-off and pick-up point for Busabout buses and we're close to the main clubs in Barcelona, like Apolo, Moog, Jamboree, SideCar, etc...We've also got a free quiz night on Wednesdays, free poker on Sundays and beach parties twice a week.

Of course, there's also our very cool terrace, open all day, where guests can meet, enjoy the sun and drink mojitos in the evening. If people are going out I like to recommend Meson David Restaurant, just two minutes' walk from here. They've got traditional Spanish food, with big plates and good prices.
Our hostel is equipped for guests with physical disability, with special access and adapted beds, rooms and bathrooms.
Most of our guests are aged 18 to 25 and I think our hostel is perfect for young people that want to be right in the centre of Barcelona, meet other travellers and experience Barcelona to the max.- Vàlia, General Manager

Location is good if not a bit run down only a a few blocks from metro station and only 5 mins to Las Ramblas. Check in with polite member of staff. Rooms were nice & tidy with free lockers in room which was a plus. Shower/Toilet was very small & always seemed to have smelly wet towels on floor which is not so much the hostels fault but still not very nice. Breakfast good,Unfortunately they're was a pack of 8 or so Dutch teenage lads that were very loud and confrontational during my first night

Cancellation Policy
This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Since November 2012 there is a tourist tax of €0.50 per person per night, which is not included in our rates. It is payable upon arrival and only applies for the first seven nights of accommodation.
We have a 24hr cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made via email by noon the day before your scheduled arrival date. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night's accommodation.
