Beach Hostel Reviews

Ladybird was very helpful and friendly. We actually booked the wrong date but she still allowed us to change the period of stay. Location is very near to the beach in Split. And Split is not a large city afterall so it's walkable to city center.

Beach hostel was great! The staff (Ladybird) is amazing, she's so nice and welcoming. Although it rained most of the time we were there the hostel felt really homey. The common room is great and there is free wifi internet! Definitely stay here!

The hostel was nice and Lady Bird was very friendly. The only thing is the cat sleeps on the couch and it smelled. Couch could do with a clean, but the cat was super cute and friendly too.

Only stayed the one night as a stopover before flying home and I was ill as well so couldn't really join in the fun. The hostel is in a great position just a 5 min walk from the beach and less than 10 mins from all the bars, cafes and tourist sights. Ladybird was very friendly and helpful and I imagine its a fun hostel to stay at and go partying from. It was clean and facilities were great with a lovely outside space to enjoy. Would return in an instant.

This hostel was very cosy and clean. the lady taking care of thngs is very nice and takes the time to talk to you and explain you about everything. Great excellent location, you can wash your clothe for a fee, really enjoyed my stay there.

The hostel manager was great, she spoke English and Norwegian. I stayed in the double bed private, but you were still able to socialize and have fun in the living room and on the balcony. You are very close to the beach and a bunch of fun night clubs. It is about 8 min walk to the center of town, but that is not a big deal.

I had such a good time in your hostel, a cool place in a perfect location! I just didn't like the very small and unconfortable sinks in the toilets, but that's ok! Hope to visit you again in the future and advice the you to my friends going to visit Split! Bye Bye Lady Bird Bart

Better / more fans within the dorms would be a big improvement.

This is the place to stay in Split for the summer. Close to the beach and chilled out. Thanks Ladybird

Absolutely great host a comfy bed and near the beach but there were a few issues. The hostel gets hot and there are not enough fans, do not plan to sleep past 7:30 am or so. Owner has a cat that has the run of the place, he was not an issue for my allergies as he had very short fur, but I know some people would be. All of the showers leak and were quitee obviously badly installed, you will be in a puddle in the bathroom. Finding the place is a pain, sign is postcard sized and has no light.

We were only in town for one night, but we had a nice time - Ladybird was a joy, and her facilities were adequate. The hostel isn't exactly on the beach as we might have imagined from the name. It was a 10-15 minute walk from the beach, and a much farther walk from the center where we got off the ferry, but maybe it just seemed like that because we had heavy bags and it was super hot out. Would stay here again! (:

100% recommend - no question about it. The location was great! Just 10 mins walk (if that) from the bus station - 1 min walk from the open air cinema, beaches and restaurants. Ladybird was SO accommodating and lovely and the place was super clean. You couldn't have a bad time here. I loved it!

The location is great, since it is near the Beach, and not to far from the city center. I would definitly stay there if I were to go back to Split. Ladybird is great. Our bus was leaving at 10 pm and we could stay in the hostel, have a bath, etc. Only thing...the kitchen is not well equiped..so we ended up eating out both nights!

Horrible experience! I was send to another house, and my "room" was an ex-garage of and old house. Not clean, extremely hot with just an small window (without ventilator or air-conditioning), no internet, the fridge wasnt cold enough...Dont stay there!!!

Fantastic hostel!! It has it all, great character, beautifully redecorated and feels like home, lockers are in rooms, 2 min walk to the beach and 10 min walk to old town. Fun level is high! there is always group excursions going on and a great common room/ patio to lounge on. Best of all it is run by the beautiful and inspiring Lady Bird whom I think everyone should meet :)
