We had a nice relaxing time, I think we caught Broome just before the peak period so we found it quiet a not very busy. In JUne, July and August maybe that would change. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were only a 5-10 minute walk from the lovely cable beach and some good restaurants and bars. We enjoyed it so much we are thinking of coming back next year.

Nearly left my 15 yo and myself stranded at Broome because the website was not updated to reflect the 2 hour earlier closure. Lauren who I spoke to needs a lesson in customer care!!!

The hostel was nice with good facilities. What was excellent was that their rates had come down for a special deal during the time we stayed and even though we booked well in advance they passed the savings onto us! The private room was like a small hotel room - excellent

Nice hostel. V clean and staff were helpful. A few issues though: 1) the pool was out of action the whole duration of my stay - it would have been nice if someone had told me in advance as it is boiling hot in Broome and I might have stayed somewhere with a pool, 2) the air conditioning only works from 8pm to 8am. This is not good especially if there is no pool to cool off in. Plus you cannot control the temperature of the air con so it is freezing at night, 3) there is not enough staff.

nice place to stay and very friendly staff. The only issue is there was nothing stated that alcohol wasn't aloud in the room and can only be purchased from the bar and the air cons in the dorm rooms only run between 8pm and 8am if you plan to sleep in the room out of those times forget about it.

Main problem was with the air-conditioners in the shared dorms are staff set and are way to low. Had to get them turned up but believe they were changed back to original setting later and froze again. Apart from that the back packers was fantastic, good atmosphere, nice pool, plenty of services to get around, helpful staff.

Friendly staff, close to the beach ... but faraway from the city and no air condition the whole day. That's simply not good enough when you're in the tropics. I'ts a pretty modern hostel and friendly staff ... but the location is very poor. Except if you want to stay at the beach the whole day which you probably can't.

Very close to Cable Beach, but far away from everything else. Need a bike or car to get anywhere easily in Broome. Great kitchen facilities, nice pool and good breakfast.
