Just bear in mind that it is a house boat, so it does sway from time to time. Also the bathroom was what you would expect at a houseboat and not at a hotel. Great place for a group of guys. A great location and unique experience of staying on a houseboat. The owners were friendly and helpful. However, on a cold night mosquitos came into our warm bedroom through a couple of vents. We are covered with mosquito bites and had to wake up to kill literally 25 of them. Best way to spend your time in Amsterdam with a group of 3-4 people. Awesome little houseboat right near the center of everything, secure, safe, and full of character. The proprietor was very nice and allows you to call him anytime with questions. Very, very cool way to stay, I\'ve stayed at 20+ hostels and found this one to be one of the best in regards to character and fun. It is a bit run down, but the bed areas are nice and comfortable. Beagle houseboat has been the best accommodation i've ever had, next to my own home. I'd highly recommend it! The location is perfect, and the boat itself is homely. The Beagle is the best place to stay in Amsterdam if your going to pass out every night! Its a hot, stuffy and a bit stinky but it manages to redeem itselfs with fabulous location, derilict charms and total randomness! What a place, come here if you like Houseboats and like the gentle rocking in the water. Good location, near to the centre, though a boat in the canals (grachten) would be even better. But then the price is at least double I reckon. Nice and friendly owner, TV, Internet, fridge, all there. Loved the sun downer on the roof. The Beagle was awesome. Great location, 5 minutes from the train station and about 10 minutes from the Red Light District. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.The Beagle was awesome.
