Nothing positive to say about this property or the state of hostelling in WA.Overpriced. Staff generally jaded and worn out by long termers.Room never cleaned during my 5 nights. $10 for 3 hrs of Wi-fi? Pathetic! Do not recommend Perth,Beatty or WA to anyone. Intra-state transport virtually non-existant

Showers need a thorough clean as muck in the corners. Kitchen is great although needs more fridge storage space as one large fridge broken. Staff are good and helpful and location is very good. Parking on site also helps. Not all dorms have air conditioning but only fans, which is a bit overwhelming with 6 close bodies on hot nights.

Talking to other backpackers seems to be a more longer stay hostel compared to the party ones in Northbridge. Friendly easy going hostel for working holidayers

We are French (sorry for the bad english). We stayed in Beatty Lodge On March. It was just fantastic, it is not hotel but it looks like. Thanks to all the staff who are just amazing, nice and helpful (Ruggiero, Ricardo and lady in the morning sorry we do not know your name). It is not in the center of Perth but thanks to a free bus you can join the city in 15 minutes. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING. Merci pour tout.

Very much a workers hostel - doesnt go too mad except on weekends and quiet at other times. Not as good quality as other hostels in different areas of Australia, but better than most in perth by word of mouth. Took a while but grew on me - would go back. Decently located, 5 mins from train station and 20 mins from free bus services. Could be improved but not bad.

My only concerns were the expensive wifi and lack of recycling/compost.

The rug in my room was stained and needed to be cleaned. The TV was poor quality, very slow to start up and only 6 channels. The front-desk was open limited hours and the hours were not posted at the desk - I went there many times and found it locked with no way to contact anyone in charge of the accommodation. The computer in the lobby area was garbage - a pay-as-you-use machine which was very slow with a virtually nonfunctioning keyboard. There is a $20 key deposit and $10 kitchen deposit.

The room itself was clean and tidy could have done with an power port in the room as I had to choose between plugging in the fan or charge my mobile. The gents shower room and toilet needed cleaning. But other that it was a fantastic stay. The staff are friendly and really helpful. The pool is amazing. I will recommend beatty lodge to my friends.

The hostel is fully carpeted in the sleeping sections, the vacuuming is done extremely poorly which makes those sections smell really dusty. Everything else is good. It is very suitable for older people, because the young ones tend to be working people ,so not to rowdy. Very nice people who choose to stay there.
