Far from centre, room messy and dirty, showers average, kitchen messy and dirty, no air con in rooms. Staff not very friendly. Very bad stay for me.

This hostel is a bit tired. Based on my travels all over the world, I would expect more from a hostel that charges at these rates.

The location is really good that u can reach to the city by a free shuttle bus for just 15 mins however, the facilities a bite old and the beds in 6 plp dorm is not comfortable . Acceptable for the price we paid. I would like to stay there again next time.

Great place to stay if you don't want to splash out on accommodation. We stayed in a Superior Twin room and it was well worth it. The picture on the website is representative of the room we stayed in. I was particularly impressed with how clean the bathroom and kitchenette facilities were kept as well as the fact we had free parking for the duration of our stay. I hope aircon is installed in the future as it can be very hot at night!

Positive: always clean toilet&showers, big common area, large rooms, swimming pool (even if it closes at 9pm) Negative: my room was dusty and didn't look like somebody was coming and cleaning it, it's minimum 10 min walk to everything, from the places to eat to the bus stop to go to the city(at least it's free)..Another negative is the internet connection:10 dollars for 2h45min and you can only use it in the reception!it's good that is a big hostel so anyway it's always easy to socialize!

This was an absolute disaster. There was works going on inside the building which we were not informed about before we arrived. They were sanding the banisters on the stairs. The scrapings were everywhere even in my hair. Our room was down a dark corridor and the smell of urine was unreal. The room was filthy, our hads were black from the bed covers, unrecognisable stains on the carpet plus hair and hairpins, the smell of sewerage, the blinds were all bent out of shape and holes in the window net

One of the best backpackers' in Perth. However it's not in Perth CBD, but in a very close suburb (leederville), accessible by many buses and a train station (15 min walking). Clean and friendly staff, lot of services, lot of space. Kitchen OK (a bit dirty after dinner time, but it is usual for all hostels). Rooms are quiet, no drunk shouting people, just quiet. Lot of space to relax, swimming pool. For such a big backpacker, it's very well managed.

THe room was very good and you can do wekkly rates with them wen u get thre if u want. the kitchen howe er was MENTAL. too many people iddnt clean up after themselves and were really rude to the staff who they expected to clean up. i really think they need sticter rules on kitchen - iv styed in hostels before wer if u dont clean up ur asked to leave. some people were just ignorant. the pool and all the staff weer brilliant. id defo recomend this place but only if u dont mind a heactic environmen

I just meant to stay for five days and still i'm staying (15days) and i already thought about another extension. nice people, nice staff. Not the cheapest hostel around but I've been told it's the best around. I haven't been in another one so i can barely tell, but I really like it here and still enjoy my stay. Oh, they also have an animal guest...he is a bird and his name is Barry. He first scared me to the bones when he knocked heavily on our window bt now i like him! Hope this'll help you!

We stayed in double room, furniture is a bit shabby but it's clean. Shared kitchen is a bit messy but nothing terrible. The staff is quite nice and helpful. It's near to the City, bus is there in 10 minutes or less. Main problem is internet, it's so expensive (in my opinion, it should be free) and not available in the rooms.

Lovely Place!!! Facilities are clean and staffs are kind. I could easily access to a library, a supermarket, a bus stop or a train station, and centre of perth city. When I stay here, I didn't have any stress about noise and security. If I have a chance to stay a backpack, there is no hesitation to choose Beatty Lodge again.
