This was a perfect spot for me. I started each morning walking the 100 meters to the beach and swam before coming back for the nice continental breakfast that the staff laid out of fresh fruit, juices, coffee, pastires and cereal. We really liked this place. Great location if you\'re there for the beach (and who isn\'t?), as it has a private path that lets directly onto it. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they locks the gates at 11pm (but give you a key), and the breakfast was tasty and ample. The rooms are a bit primitive, and if you don\'t like ants then be forewarned. This isn\'t a luxury hotel. They\'re cabinas. We found ours charming and adequate. Popol Vuh does not promise anything they can't keep. The staff is great, the atmosphere is amazing and the place is practically on the beach. No luxury, but well worth the money.. This is an amazing place to stay - I ended up adding 4 nights and didn't want to leave. Staff are friendly, breakfast is good and its literally 50m from the beach!
