We had a really nice time here. Claudio and Dorothea offered endless good tips for things to do in Palermo, and great places to eat real Sicilian food. The location is awesome, right by Vucciria market. It is good to realise that the market square is quite loud on weekend nights, so those who value sleep over night life should bring earplugs.

The owners were exceptionally helpful, even making a special trip to get some special bread I Needed due to a celiac condition

This is a very pleasant hostel in a great location for visiting the sights of the city and for getting some feeling for its atmosphere. The hostel staff are very friendly and helpful - they live in the property and provide great breakfast.

Claudio is full of local knowledge and the street is bursting with life

We had a perfect stay in Alla Vucciria. Dorothea and Claudio are very welcoming and kind hosts who make every guest feel at home in their appartment. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated and had a beautiful little bathroom. Special thanks to Dorothea for the interesting insight she gave us into life in Sicily! We strongly recommend you to stay in this hostel!

I stayed here with Claudio and it was beyond perfect! The place was spotless. We had our own bathroom inside of our room. Claudio really welcomes you into his home. The sheets were very clean, the mattress was excellent and he serves you a wonderful breakfast in the morning (warm croissants, fruit, yogurt, and cheese). The location was perfectly located in historical palermo and there is an amazing night time market with bars and great food right outside. I have ZERO complaints.

This B+B is not a regular "hotel" but a room in Claudio's house, as a result you gain a glimpse of how a Sicilian really lives. As I was staying by myself, Claudio sat down to breakfast as well and chatted about different aspects of Palermo, Sicily and Italy in general.
