The B&B is just a few minutes walk from the metro station and was easily found . The host , a dear elderly lady, went out of her way to help, let us keep the room for a late evening check out. The room was spacious and the breakfast better than most B&B's. The only let down was the bath room, out of Noah arch with not much hot water.

If you have a 80 year old grandmother somewhere in the world - it's like staying at her house. She doesn't know how to use the internet which is a challenge because we booked thru Hostelworld and when we arrived she didn't have a reservation for us. Luckily, she went and made up a room so it was ok but she told us we were lucky. The house is an old victorian which is pretty cool.Only shower when she is awake so she can light matches to give you warm water. Otherwise it's cold. Standard breakfast

Asking a taxi driver, who didn't know the hostel or the street, finally with GPS we got there. We had to look up the street number in the confirmation letter, because there was no signs or similar that could show we arrived at the hostel. An old friendly and a bit confused lady opened the door and was suprised we have booked a room for a night. All in all it was a pleasant stay with breakfast and we had the chance to experience how an old chiliean lady lives like. Perfect for couples - no party.

my partner and i were looking for a nice b and b to finish off our trip. unfortunately, casa daroch didn't really cut it. the bathroom (the shower) was very unpleasant. the room was rudimentary at best. the house is quite old - and the wifi did not work, nor did the tv on our second night. the breakfast was mediocre - in fact, we declined it on the second day. not the worst ever, but there must be plenty of better options in santiago. avoid.

I woukd totally recommend this for people who want a quiet, laid-back place to stay at the heart of Santiago. The street is charming and is very close to the subway and main atractions of the city. Plus, the staff is great!
