B&B in a modern place of the city, bit far away from train & bus station, if arrvie at night time is hard to find and feel unsafety since a slient place. Breakfast is fair, but using the strove need pay extra is not good for budget traveller self cooking.
Directions to hostel ok. Owner spoke good english and was able to answer all our questions regarding local and regional public transport. Room was very modern and clean. Nothing was broken or damaged as it seems in most Sicily B&B's. Kitchen was well equipped. There was a 2Euro charge for using stove but microwave was free. Locations in new part of town but this didn't worry us. We thought this was best B&B we have stayed in in Sicily so far.
There is a fee for using the a/c and the kitchen, other than that the place is near the termini.
when we arrived the room was not clean and we had to wait for 1 hour till the cleaner arrived. It is not located at the historic center and the atmosphere of the neighbourhood is quite strange.
Very nice place! The owner Patrizia is a sweetheart and very hard worker - the place is spotless! Check out the pizzeria around the corner - the chef is super friendly and cooks delicious pastas at lunch time.
Really far away from the city centre, it's a long climb. The staff does not speak english, which makes communicating very difficult. Breakfast was poor and it was unclear when it would be provided. Room was very clean though, nice bathroom, great shower. All in all, we wouldn't stay here again.
A very short walk from the train station or bus station. Even had a washing machine for clothes.
This hostel is a modern, well appointed and equipped apartment. But there were some inconveniences:: breakfast was served at a local bar which meant in the morning going outside and returning to eat; Agrigento is very hilly with steep stairs to climb and this hostel was located at the bottom part of the city so that one had to climb the steep steps to go anywhere. The owner also wanted cash payment but their description indicated that credit cards were accepted.
Host is wonderful. Location was good to get to from the train station in Agrigento but the bus to the beach does not run on Sundays which we were not aware of and the distance is too far to walk to the beach. Beautiful place to stay!
