Had read good reviews about this place however when we got there it was dirty, we were given a room above the street it was very noisy until 3am when everyone smoking shisha had left. The manager simo organised a tour for us which be advised doesnt include entries or guides it is basically for them to drive you around. ask for mohammed the best driver and most knowledgeable. the smell was awful in the room and it always smelt like smoke at night. good internet staff was friendly.

Photos uploaded were not reflective of the actual place. There were a lot of random men hanging around in the common room smoking sheesha. I'm assuming they were the friends of the owners, but it did not feel comfortable. Staff was friendly, but the rooms smelt of sewage and smoke.

Stayed here before, and will stay here the next time I visit Cairo. Good airport pick-up service, which is such a relief coming to Cairo. Getting a cab on your own can be a hassle in the middle of the night. The staff are friendly, the location central (close to Tahrir and the Egyptian Museum), and the feels of the place is relaxed and nice. I keep coming back for a reason.

You're met by filthy stairways, but the place is accually quite OK with Egyptian standards. Noise from the very busy street below might keep you up in the night. The "balcony" is behind the bed so need some climbing to reach it, and you get the view over a filthy rooftop. Please note that in the "ensuite" rooms the toilet is in the same room, separated by walls that doesn't stretch the whole way up to the ceiling.

Upon arrival the receptionist immediately was quite pushy about us booking 'guided tours' with him. The facilities were less than par. The blanket on the bed smelled and there were BED BUGS.

Bedouin Hostel is a wonderful hostel located near Tahrir Square, the Egyptian Museum, and Central Bank. The decorations make it feel like a little Bedouin camp inside the heart of Cairo, and the staff is super chilled out. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a low cost chiller pad.

Kitchen was a little dated and stinky, but the rest was good... we were very upset however that they said they would do our laundry in the morning so it would be dry for when we left on the night train upon checkout... we went to leave and our clothing had clearly just been done as it was still dripping. Otherwise it was nice and in a good location.

An amazing place to stay! One of the only places we didn't feel pressured or nickle and dimed. The staff is very friendly, eager to assist you but not overbearing. On mulitple occasions they went the extra mile for us, including letting us check into our room early, feeding us breakfast on days we arrived (we stayed multiple times), and letting us store luggage while we visited other parts of Egypt. Great drivers, interesting excursions, great location. Family run with great hospitality.

Part of the great time that I had in Egypt was because of this Hostel. The staff is outstanding and helpful. I have read bad reviews about the excursions, but, I have to disagree of those. I got 3 of them from the hostel, and after an agreement about the schedule, everything was perfect, therefore, I recommend the guest and the hostel agree with the schedule and I am sure everything will be fine. Cairo is a huge city, and even with the political situation, I could not feel any insecurity.
