A lovely hostel with awesome staff. A true home away from home. There are some rooms which do not have windows. It is a bit at the edge of the city center, so a bit of a walk, but still withing walking distance. I can really recommend this place!

Very clean hostel, good location away from the very touristy area but on a nice local street with lots of local bars. We stayed twice, after going to Bako for a night, the first time we had trouble sleeping because of the VERY loud floorboards right outside our room which woke us up every time anyone walked past during the night. Try and get a room on the top floor, it's much quieter!

This is home away from home! I booked for two nights and stayed for almost two weeks. I have been traveling for 7 months before I got to BEDS. I can honestly say that this was my favourite place I stayed.

This hostel is a must when in Kuching! family owned and operated place and before long, you feel like you're part of the family! staff are friendly, super helpful and I spent so much time just hanging out with them and other guests just chatting. Was going to stay for 3 days and stayed for 7! The blankets and pillows are THE BEST I've had anywhere SE Asia! The place is clean, the breakfast is awesome and the beer is cheap (by Malaysian standards). Awesome place!

Nice and clean place to stay. A bit thin walls, but as it's not a party place that wasn't to much of a problem. The location was nice a bit of from the waterfront, but not far to walk to the buss or restaurants. Very helpful staff, they had pickup service to and from the airport that worked perfect. Would recommend it.

Second time I've stayed at Beds and I honestly can't fault it. Comfortable, friendly, central, in Chinatown. Adrian is so helpful. In two stays not met anyone there who didn't have high praise for the place.

Best value for the money of any hostel I've ever stayed at. I reserved two nights and ended up staying six. Great staff. Comfortable beds. Cold air conditioning. Good common area. Nice (enough) bathrooms. I can't think of a single complaint about this place. Adrian and Imo both rule. I've sent at least five people to this place that I have met elsewhere in Borneo who were headed to Kuching.

It was low season in Borneo, but Beds had a fair amount of guests. The high rating on Hostelworld.com is very accurate. The staff is so helpful- especially Imo. If you have a night with nothing planned take her out for karaoke! The only downside is that the location is about 20 to 30 minutes walk from the waterfront area, but there are some really good restaurants around the hostel anyways.

The hostel is clean and cool. You need to leave the slippers at the entrance, that's oriental style. Room a bit small but with AC and in perfect conditions. The entrance is very nice, with a big TV, fresh and typical. The guy that rules the hostel is very funny! And his mother produces rice wine too! The bar behind is a bit hot but you can serve yourself a beer from the fridge and chill-out. The only drawback is that the hostel is not in the current city center, anyway it's worth the money.

There is nothing I could fault Beds on, from the friendliness and helpfulness of Adrian and the staff, to its position in the town, kitchen facilities, brilliant social area/lounge and the comfort of the beds.
