The athmosphere is that of surfing, partying and lying in the hammocks. Always fun to come down here!

Great location near the beach and there's a cool area to hang out by the kitchen. I got there on a Wednesday and had a quiet couple of nights. The dorms got full at the weekend, people were ready to party. Good times.

A great place to stay if you find yourself in Jaco. The private rooms are basic but comfortable. They have decent bathrooms, an air conditioner, a place to hang up your clothes or laundry and a kitchenette. There is a great restaurant that forms part of the hotel where you can have bottomless coffees, good WiFi and delicious and well-priced food. The staff are helpful and can assist in directing you to the right bus or tour operator.

This place is ideal for young people who love surfing during the day, drinking heavily at night, playing music loud and generally making a racket in the dorms area, where I was staying. But for someone like me, an older guy, NOT a surfer, who actually wants to sleep at night... I would now recommend this place at all. Interesting, or so it seems as if the management / ownership (those in a position to set the rules), seem to "let it go" this type of behavior. Maybe I was the one out of place!

The hostel closes too early and opens too late. No one around to assist if needed. I only used the restroom there twice, and both times there was no tissue available. The 4-bed standard room was very small and cramped, with no place to put personal items except under the bed. It was difficult to do things while the other guests were sleeping. Location is perfect, staff was friendly and helpful during open hours.

Room was dirty, especially the shower was disgusting. We had to ask several times before someone took care of it.

This hostel is pretty near from the bus station (Mas X Menos) if you are coming from San Jose. Stuff was friendly and people staying there were cool. Breakfast is not included but you can buy it for about 5-7 USD in the hostel because they are also running a restaurant. I think people coming to this hostel is pretty party people.

The hostel is very close to the beach and the main street where bars and restaurants can be accessed very quickly. The staff was very nice. Although we did not interact a lot, they let us keep our stuff behind the counter after we checked out and offered advice on bars, etc. Overall, would stay there again.

The place is nicely located both next to the beach and the main street. The dorm room was not so nice. The madrass in the bed was very thin and the sheets were not clean. The social atmosphere was not good. There is lack of areas to hang out and its not that easy to meet people. The kitchen is lacking cooking-equipment, and was very dirty. The staff were very nice!

The location is awesome, the staff are really friendly and helpful. It has a good common area to meet other travelers which is important for me since I am usually solo. This place would be an A+ place to stay but for one thing: cleanliness. It was absolutely filthy. When I checked in, there was dirt on the counter. I saw a huge cockroach in my room and when asked the owner for some type of RAID, he didnt really seem to care. Over 3 days, I never saw any soap in the common area for dishes.

The food was good. The bed was not comfortable and there was about a foot of space between it and the bed beside. No locker in room. The courtyard is great. No A/C so the room was boiling. Shower was gross. Alternative was an outdoor shower with no hot water. Water drained from a hole punched through a tile in the floor. We had to arrange our own transportation with someone in town. Saw other rooms that were nicer. Good place to go if looks isn'teverything and you're self-sufficient and chill.

Enjoyed out stay. Stayed in a private rm for 2 nights. Air conditioner was a huge +, rm service lady was very nice (gave us a fresh set of sheets for the second day). Great location, close to beach. Security was tight, they had a gate that locked after certain hrs & only guests could get in with a key. Their restaurant was good, good smoothies. cool artwork friendly staff. negatives were cleanliness of the bathroom (hair shavings in sink from previous guest), & there was a roach in the room.
