Very very very nice staff !!! Helped us a lot, always in a good mood! The location is also very good, close to the subway, in the middle of a very nice hutong!

The accommodation was amazing, I felt slightly uneasy without a key to the hostel door but that would be my only concern!

Hostel is in a fabulous location in the hutong! lots going on and lots to see. The hostel itself is clean and the beds very comfortable. As a place to rest your head, no complaints! The Great Wall tour is excellent and great value for money- the Beijing Opera trip, however, is not.

Ideally suited near the attractions on a fun and lively street. The room is very good with plugs, a comfy bed, AC and good clean bathroom. With lots of tour options, Chinese address cards, free lockers, wifi and a common room to relax if you have a wait it's a very good place to stay.

Nice location, the restaurant was on renovation so we can have their wonderful breakfast for only one day of our stay.

Breakfast was exactly the same every single day and coffee is not included and cost 25yuans, staff is not that smiley and the showers have not even a courting so the toilet becomes a lagoon. The room for 2 it is ok, and it was good that you can borrow umbrellas at the reception, and the location is excellent

great spot and near to lots of the sites - also a small taste of real beijing. Basic but all you need - also some good trips that they can organise. Recommend to the backpacker AND those wanting a slightly mor interesting place to stay

The hostel was very clean and the room was really nice, they have courtins in each bed so you can have a private space when you go to sleep. It is close to the subway station (about 10min walk), however it is situated in one of the most agitated streets of Beijing (with a lot of restaurants, shops and bars). Even though that sounded awesome at first, it was just a huge hasslle everytime you had to leave the hostel in the morning and arrive at night (really crowded). Staff wasn't very friendly.

I have posted "Good" instead of "Excellent" for most of the criteria, which is fair enough. Maybe hostelling in the Dashilar part of city is a bit less of Disney Hutong. Around here more ice-cream shops than backpacker convenience stores. But the staff - Doris and Zachary & Windy & others - are nice and friendly and helpful - the essential oils of a good hostel. Breakfast next door is included; but ho-hum. But I'm not complaining. The dorm is fine. Clean. Met fine people. Felt safe. Good feel.

Good hostel. Rooftop patio good for meeting people...sometimes... but sometimes not . Then you're kinda screwed for that

The 4-bed dorm is great, since it's made up of individual beds and not bunks beds. Each has a curtain, light, and plug, allowing for privacy and functionality. The breakfast is eggs, bacon, and toast -- nothing special, but after weeks of chinese food, also nice. The great wall tour is good!

Had a great stay at this hostel , not much night life in China but the backpackers help. Hostel is in a better area of Beijing , easy to just jump on the metro and see whatever you need to

Great hostel, awesome location and the dorm I stayed had single beds in a spacious room. Lockers were Available and the Great Wall of china out was also good.

Overall a great stay. It was a little annoying to have to rent a towel and also the room not having a key was a little unsettling at first, but if you can get beyond those to minor inconveniences, this is a great hostel for singles or small groups located very centrally in a cool area of hotungs.

Not a bad place, the fact I didn't get given a room key was a bit odd, meant I was a little uneasy about leaving things in my room. Good staff, must have been quiet time as there weren't many around in hostel. Good spot, plenty to see and do in the viscinity.
