Fantastic location in the heart of Nanluoguxiang hutong. Clean, decent beds and a good bathroom.

A great location in Beijing, the room was good and very clean - good value for money. The free breakfast was decent but staff could have been friendlier. We took the Jinshanling to Simati tour which was ideal, a 6km hike to do at your own pace.

Though my rating is based on chinese standards and it would be definately different if compared with a top-notch Hostel somewhere else, this Hostel is a good choice in Beijing. The location is cool, it's clean, the staff very helpful and the Great Wall tour they offer is really cool!

The hostel had great lockers and great tour arrangements. Staff spoke some English, though they tended to recommend the bus when the subway would have been much easier.

Good points were cheap, English speaking staff, organised all tours, good atmosphere, cheap prices @ their mini-shop, clean room. Bad points: the staff didn't seem very friendly, our room smelt like sewerage intermittently thoughout the day, shower had minimal water pressure, our room had no window but we couldn't control the heater or air conditioner.

Great hostel, very well located in the middle of the hutongs. 5-10 minute foot walk to the nanluoguoxiang station of line 6. The staff could improve its english, nevertheless they were very nice and helpful!

Great location, good value for money. Booked a dorm but had whole room to myself for the four days. Great tour to the Great Wall, they took us to a non touristy part. Would recommend.

Great hostel in centre of cool little streets with local pubs and restaurants only 2 mins away. Great staff that helped with all matters I asked them about. Good wifi, hot water, big spacious dorm rooms! I had no complaints, has everything a good hostel is expected to have these days.

The facilities are simple but clean, the beds are comfortable and the rooms were warm. The location is very convenient because Metro line 6 is close, it is central (Forbidden City, Back Lakes are not far away) and the street is really nice (old Chinese houses with restaurants and bars etc.).

My partner and I stayed 3 nights in a double room with an ensuite. Simply brilliant, I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Beijing on a backpackers' budget. Clean bathroom, comfy bed, great atmosphere. The hutong is a bit touristy, but still funky. Fantastic value for money.

Free breakfast was a great help for my budget but it was of a pretty poor standard. On the last morning it was completely inedible as the bread was as hard as the table. I went to a local tea room and bought some delicious fruit and French toast instead for very little money.

Location is fantastic on Nanlougu hutong which is alive and packed with people at all hours. There are loads of bars and good places to eat, mins from the hostel and only 5 min walk from the new subway station. Rooms are excellent value, for a double ensuite (no window, it's cheaper) it's 80 yuan per person, inc breakfast. We stayed 5 extra nights, it was cheap and nice. The only thing I would suggest is have 2 breakfast options, eggs and pale toast for 13 days is too much, fruit would be better!

This hostel is in a great location on Nanluogo Xiang, and close to the new metro line. Our double room was nice and the staff were very helpful, and we could have a decent hot shower any time of day (great to have in the Beijing winter!)

The street is very touristed and it takes a while to pass through the hordes. The place was pretty average. There is a nice café next door with free breakfast for guest at the hostel, but you have to pay for drinks which is pretty expensive.

There is a leakage from the aircon in room 103 which wets the floor and toilet in the bathroom. It is annoying that when showering the whole room gets wet. We had two rooms; 103 and 106 and this was a problem in both. It should not be so difficult to put up a shower curtain in room 106, and to put in some cloths and equipment to clean up the floor after showering. Room 106 was very cold because of the skylight window not being tight. This is easy to fix! Bad light in both bathrooms too.
