This is one of the best hostels I've seen! The location is great, though it could be closer to the subway.. The only thing I didn't like about the place was that there was no kitchen. Otherwise great! The staff is very nice and they speak good English.

Fantastic hostel in the most amazing neighborhood in Beijing. The room was great and the staff was just great - especially Emily, who helped us a lot. You get a lot for you money, and the next-door cafe served a nice simple breakfast and had convenient opening hours. Obvious backpacker-choice, when staying in Beijing!

Everything was OK, but nothing better. There is no bar, so no real social area. The staff were not overly helpful, and didn't really go out of there way for you. Throughout China, the standards of Hostels is very high, this didn't quite meet that!

This is a very safe and homely place to stay and staff are very willing to help. I did two great wall trips with them and they are both uncrowded and good however one guide was very poor in English and didn't give us any history or info about the great wall and when I ask him to he struggled with his English. Emily was an excellent guide. This place is often booked out so prebook ahead. I also thought the 150RMB taxi trip to the airport was a bit steep. Best to get one off the street for 80.

We recommend this hostel to all readers. The staff were brilliant and helped us more than was required ( Thanks Emily). The bed was amazingly comfortable, the double room with private ensuite was spacious and the restaurant provided a fantastic breakfast included in tne price as well as very good food at reasonable prices throughout the rest of the day. The trip they offered to the Wall was excellent.

Location is really good: central and in a nice small shopping street. Hostel is clean and bads are comfortable. There is soap in the bathroom. You get your towels from the hostel. Our bedlinien were already used (not so clean). There are computers (you have to pay for internet and prints). Breakfast is poor but ok (two slices of toast, an egg, strange sausage, small tin of jam, one juice; tea and coffee extra to pay). The staff is unfriendly and not helpful.

Greay hostel. we stayed in a private double room and was excellent, much more than we expected, very comfy bed, very clean, tv and full ensuite. Only comment id make to condider is free breakfast in next door cafe was great but they did not speak much or no english so it hard to order things, but no big deal, we got by ok. Def would stay there again. Oh and the great wall tour they offer was excellent.

We definitely enjoyed our stay in Beijing, thanks to Emily and the rest of the staff. The staff were very accommodating, and even helped locate our camera that we accidentally left in one area. Highly recommended for tourists. Thanks!

i love staying in this hostel.Excellent for backpackers like us. The toilet is clean, the room is also clean, but unfortunately no tv and wifi signal is not too good. but overall everything is perfect. So is the cafe. The foods are delicious and not too expensive. One day I\'ll be back to china and stay again in this hostel

Great hostel! You will ha hard time to find anything like it for the same price. Stayed in the 3-room ensuite and it was perfect, soft beds, good shower and clean. Breakfast is also great and the staff knows good english and are very helpful. The best thing about it is the location, it\'s on one of the tourist-street just outside the city centre, lots of cozy shops on the day and many pubs with live music at night. Did not see any clubs around but subway takes 10min to centre. GREAT PLACE

We stayed in a double room with an en-suite for 4 nights. The room and bathroom were really big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly. We did one of the Great Wall trips with the hostel and it was great! I would highly recommend Beijing Downtown Backpackers.
