The location of the hostel is good. Many restaurants and shops nearby. The staff here is nice and helpful. Whenever we have problems finding the way to the destinations, they are willing to help and tell us the route clearly. I was staying here during the coldest days in Beijing. The heater in the room can keep us warm even in such a cold days.

This was my second stay at this backpacker. The breakfast is the only real let down basic would be too kind a review. Go to the Peking cafe a 100m down the road for breakfast instead it's worth the $5 Aussie dollars extra each morning.

Probably the best hostel we visited in China - staff very helpful but not necessarily friendly. Not very banterous but clean and safe with lots of hot water.

i was very happy with my stay at this hostel. I stayed in the six person mixed dorm room. Mind you, I was there in low season so the hostel was half empty, but the rooms were nice and big. The bathrooms were cleaned daily. The common room is a bit hidden, but most people hung out at the (costly for Beijing) hostel-associated bar next door. My only complaint was that while WIFI was free, if you wanted to use the hostel computers for internet you were technically supposed to pay.
