Beijing Far East hostel was established in 1939, is one of the oldest hostels in the hospitality industry. In April 2001, the International Youth Hostel start operation and became one of the earliest members to the International Youth Hostel Association in Beijing even in China.
Far East Hostel is located in QianMen area which is the center of the city,and within walking distance to many sightseeing spots such as Tian An Men suare,qian Men & Da Zha Lan pedestrian street,the celebrity JiXiaoLan former dwellings, Liulichang culture street, Temple of Heaven…etc.You can take a traditional rickshaw or a self-guided map tour to explore the area. We stayed at the hotel in a triple room. Location is very good. The rooms are nice, our room had bad smell, we couldn't open the window and the air condition didn't work (the reception clerk said there is no air condition in the hotel , but when we mooved to 3ed floor - there was air condition). They are short of toilet paper, but have free shampoo, soup and teeth brush. The shower sprinkles all over the bath room, the laundry drier dousn't dry, the evening reception clerk is not polite.
