More of a hotel than a hostel - nowhere to hang out and swap stories with people. Facilities were excellent - computer in the room, with (presumably) internet. Towels etc supplied. Close to lots of things - nightlife, hutongs next to lake etc. Some confusion with check-in, but showed booking number - no problem. Location great - just across from Nanluogu station on Line 6. Look for the sign on the gateway, maybe 3 feet off the ground, grey brick entrance. Hostel is to the left through the gate.

They didn't provided my room with sheets and cover and when I left they asked me "Where is the cover?" and tried to charge the amount on my bill. My fault was that I was too tired when I arrived as to complain about missing cover! At the moment, after 3 days, the deposit I left has not been yet released on my credit card account... Anyway, the girl who is in charge of giving information and rent the bike is nice and speaks whit good English.
Bathroom is much better then those we saw in China hostels (no bath tube or cabin, but at least shower curtains and quite new furniture). There were 2 hot-water heaters in our room, but it wasn't enough to warm up the air. We tried to use air conditioner to get comfortable temperature, but it was extremely dusty and we decided to put on some extra clothes instead.
I stayed in this hotel about a year ago and remembered it as basic, but clean. The room my friend and I I stayed in this time however, was quite dirty. When we checked in there was loose dirt on the floor, a foul stench emanating from the bathroom drain, and the dingy towels had a rather sour smell as well. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel location was good, especially for exploring the hutong nearby.
Nothing good about this Hotel. We only stayed there for one night, and that was too much for us! We booked a double room, but when we arrived they said there were no such rooms avaliable. They just offered us the cheaper twin bed room, but we coudn't get the price difference back. They room was very dirty and the beds were rock hard. The room had a bad smell from cigarette smoke and the windows were broken, so we couldn't close them. Choose somewhere else to stay!

not very close to the subway station. tour guide at hotel was very helpful. they tried to charge me for what they believed to be a stained sheet (from a bag of peanuts) on check out.
A great place to stay for a budget price hotel room. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are always kept very clean, tidy and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very near to tourist spots like Imperial Palace, Tian An Men Square and Wangfujing food and shopping center. The nearby underground train station Zhangzizhonglu (Line 5) makes traveling to other parts of the city very convenient and easy.
