This could be a really cool hostel. It is in a nice neighborhood, close to the really easy to use subway, there are good food and shops nearby, and the staff are really cool; but they charge way too much for beer (what costs 3 yuan at a local restaurant costs 16 there) and just about everything else which really ruins the atmosphere...This could be a really cool hostel. Very noisy until very late at night. People meet in the courtyard until very late at night where rooms are located. Nevertheless, a special and pleasant atmosphere.

Great hostel. 10 min walk of a subway station. In a nice Hutong (little bit hard for taxi drivers to find it... ask the staff to text you the address in Chinese characters if you can). Would definitely return if in Beijing. Great hostel. 10 min walk of a subway station. Traditional looking hostel with a super friendly staff that speak English very well. The staff helped us out tons with directions, booking trips, and even practicing some Chinese. We will definitely remember them. The common room is a great place to meet other travelers and also play games or watch movies. The internet is very cheap to use. Phones are available for international calls. You can order delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinners. Must visit Houhai Park and Dongcheng District!Traditional looking hostel with a super friendly staff that speak English very well.
