The front desk staff were very helpful and nice, wwe especially enjoyed Phil, who was funny and chatty. All the staff were great though, and this was they made the experience that much better. We felt very safe at the hostel, and in Belfast in general. a friendly place with lots to see and do. Kim and Kya Dalton, Canada

Not to far from city center and bus station, like 10 minutes. Really clean, but it's not like a small hostel, it's really big and you don't really see the other guest.

we stayed in a four beds room. inside one toilet and one shower room. the Wash basin is outside the toilet room. The room was tidy. The only one thing I dislike is the water tap. I need to always press it to have water, it is not convinent to do like that.

The hand wash basin in my room that night was not working so well. Especially, the tap made loud noises some time when I was using water. But, this hostel is very close to the buscentre and the city centre.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hostel. The location is really good - the queen\'s university is just round the corner as are loads of great restaurants! (Tip: Kathmandu Kitchen just on the other side of the nice old house really worth it!) The walk into the city center just takes about 5-10 minutes and you can see a lot along the way. The hostel is clean and the rooms tidy. There is even a sink in the room and individual lockers (lock needed). The only \"downside\" is that there is only one bathroom

Thank you for your comments - we are pleased you enjoyed your stay at the hostel. There are toilets and showers located all along the corridor you know (outside rooms 206, 219, 218, 217, 216, 215) - you can investigate further when you come back to visit. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Cons: Typical of large hostels like this, it attracted many older, independent travelers and large groups of young students, and had rather bland character; not a place to meet people or spend much time in, but fine for a short stay. Pros: The rooms had lockers and it was generally quite clean, with a great location just outside of city centre and next to Europa bus station. Most of all, I'd commend both the evening and night staff, who were exceptionally friendly and helpful! Thank you!!

One staff member in particular was very helpful (sorry can't remember his name), he gave us good advice on tours and cheap places to eat (boojam I think it's called, the Mexican place is so good!) and helped us with the washing machines and stuff. It was good there were lots of seats and a kitchen as well as a cafe. No complaints.

My friend and I had a great couple of nights in the Belfast International Youth Hostel. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and they did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our visit. The location was perfect---right in the city! The cafe in the dining area of the hostel was very nice and pretty reasonably priced, plus of course very convenient. I'd come back to Belfast and stay here again!

The only real downside here was the location. It's quite central which is great but it is across from a dodgy looking pub (with dodgier looking customers) and the Rangers fan club.

It is a good hostel. The location is good, the staff is really friendly and it was clean. The only bad thing is that they charge you for the WIFI.
