I liked the building itself, and the location is good on the one side because it's quiet, but a bit inconvenient on the other side because it's quite far away from the lake/centre (and uphill). Beds were great, kitchen was good. But it could've been cleaner: the bins weren't emptied and the kitchen was not tidied during my stay.
Very thin walls and hole in the door so room very noisy. Shower was very weak pressure and unclean bathroom. No wifi, Difficult to find. Room itself was nice though and clean.
Very beautiful homeley hostel inside and out. On the day of the checkout the receptionist either wanted us to check out early or was just trying to make a buck offering an over priced lift back to town, still not sure wich one! Left a bit of a bad taste but overall i would still recommend this hostel.
Lovely building with great rooms. Peaceful location although located a longish walk up a hill. Met some great people from all over the world. The negatives were that the manager was not particularly friendly or welcoming and the showers had very low water pressure (it was a dribble not a shower). But overall we had a very nice stay although possibly a bit overpriced.
Nice hostel situated around 1 km from the shore of Lake Baikal. It is very clean. The staff speaks English perfectly. There is a kitchen, where you can cook on your own. They have free tea and a laundry service. There is even a Russian banja. We used it and recommend it to everyone.
The hostel is a fantastic building in a beautiful (if not very central) location. The staff are very helpful and speak good English. The beds are very comfortable, one issues I did have was the lack of comfortable seating ie. sofas. The banya is a must!
great security to enter hostel, but no locks for rooms. location is a bit of a walk from the lake, but easy enough to get there and back from bus stop regardless so not a big issue. no wifi or phone reception really, but not a big problem if a short stay. clean and well kept. young "manager" was great when I checked in, and everyone spoke great english which was helpful. i would recommend to others absolutely
