The staff is horrible!!! They were the rudest people I've ever met when I checked in which really ruined my first impression of Xi'an. The only good thing about the hostel is that it's centrally located in Xi'an and it's a really good price for the money. The private room I got look more like a hotel than a hostel. If you are planning to stay in Xi'an for a day or two it's okay. The staff is definitely hit or miss.

Our room was great with a view of the Bell Tower and they gave us a discount. However, neither our TV or A/C worked very well. The staff were at times friendly or simply rude and cold. They were surprised we took a different tour to one of the tombs than using the hostel's services even though the hostel had quoted us a price 400RMB higher than the other. They did this on two occasions. The staff was hit or miss, especially in the restaurant. They were either luke warm or bothered by us.

The hostel is in a perfect position, the room are not very big but quite clean. During the winter it's a bit cold but nice. There are 2 good bar in it. They also provide a free pick up service from the train station.

This is a great, centrally located hostel. It has a lot of character---check out the writing on the walls! The bar has a great view of the Bell Tower, though the beer and other drinks are a little expensive. The pool table is awesome. The showers could be a little cleaner, as could the toilets. I loved the free map (it saved me from being utterly lost quite a few times). Most of the staff was very helpful.

Good hostel! Staff is not really knowledgeable so you'd better use online sources to plan your sighsteeing in Xian, buses etc. Very nice pub, no kitchen. I'd come back! :)

The hostel was very old/dirty, in fact we developed serious allergic reaction's to the mold within the building/room, but by the time we figured it out we were leaving. Sore throat, runny nose & sneezing pretty much the whole time. It all went away whenever we were gone for an extended part of the day. To make matters worse, the thin walls became evident on the last night as we could hear the man in the room next to us snoreing about as loud as a car missing its muffler. Very nice staff though.

Stayed in a room rather than a dorm. Room was clean and good, bed decent. Felt more like a hotel than a hostel - not much socialization going on between people staying at the "hostel" and the bar/hangout area with the free wifi is super smokey. (Tip: go early in the morning when nobody's there - internet runs super quick and not smokey). Overall i'd stay there again if i passed through town.

A very solid hostel. Fantastic location in the centre of the city for seeing the sights there like the drum and bell towers, city wall, Muslim district. Loads of different buses will take you all over the city from here. Room was very clean and had key card + big locker with padlock provided. Toilets clean too. The place is a little bit of a lifeless tower block, but there's a good bar round the corner run by the hostel. It's just unfortunate that this isn't part of the complex you sleep in.
