The hostel is situated right in the center of Xian city. So it is very convenient to get around or to explore the city. However, the property is not so clean particularly beddings (sheet, pillow, towel, etc, we found hair on our bed sheet) and bath room. Staffs speak very limited of English and not so friendly.

This place was filled with Chinese, hardly any foreigners. Not a great place if you're looking to meet new people, but the location is very good! I heard a girl saying on the phone that all here belongings were stolen from the room though...

The back door opens onto a public corridor and there is no security lock on the door. Anyone can walk into the hostel at any time. It felt very unsafe.

It would be very helpful for the hostel to provide locking cupboards in the room.

Ugly room dirty sheet, windows and walls; smells bad. The ONLY good thing is the location very near to the center. I booked for 4 nights but I can't stay here more than 1 night, moved to other hotel and can't get my money back for reservation(60RMB for the last 3 days).

It smelled SO badly, I had to move hostels. It's like sweat and BO has been lingering on the wall for years without ever being cleaned. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. BUT the location is incredible- right next to the bell tower!

Average hostel. Good location and decent value for the money, but the facilities weren't especially clean, our room had a strong odor, and the atmosphere was not one of fun and relaxation. Overall the experience wasn't bad, but also wasn't great.

You can smoke in the restaurant and they have a cat around the food while making it. It was full of young local teens all night. The hostel is right on the square close to the Muslim Quarter and Subway with a great view. We signed up for a guided tour and our tour guide ditched us and we were left on our own. We ended up getting a partial refund. The staff was friendly and worked out any issues we had. The place is run down but you get what you pay for. Place for local Chinese mostly.

Good: Perfect location right in the center of town! Great help at getting plane tickets. Train pickup was perfect. Bad: No elevator present, only stairs. At first, the desk clerk didn't want to give us the wifi password because we were on the fourth floor and there was only wifi up to third floor. Once we got it we had a great connection. Arranged tours are too expensive and elaborate, better arrange it yourself. Public transport to most sites incl. terracotta is easy after a little preparation.

The stuff isn't friendly at all. Since they speak only basic English, it was hard to agree with them in terms regarding to our room and we also found hard to get any useful help from them. The beds were clean but the bathroom not: the smell of the water was especially disturbing. The direction to the hostel is also misleading. Be prepared if you're arriving late, the underpass at the Bell Tower will be closed so you will be forced to take a big detour!

The dorm itself was really spacious with adequate security lockers and swipe card entrance. Staff at the reception were well informed and helped me figure out some of the public transport around Xi'an. The common room/restaurant was extremely nice with accommodating staff present. For a short stay visit this hostel was more than adequate.

The staff was extremely helpful, they helped us look for an apartment and to get a Chinese phone... Very impressed! The rooms are very clean and quite modern, this is a very good value for money hostel. Plus the location is extremely conveniant as it is right at the center of the city! Very enjoyable stay and thanks again to the wonderful staff!

The directions are a bit hard to follow. It says to go to the post office building. Well, the China Post building is HUGE and if you go into the China Post entrance you will be incorrect. Entrance is to the left of the KFC, around the corner. The non-smoking section of the restaurant needs better control. People still smoke there. Otherwise, good, convenient location in the middle of the city.

An excellent hostel!!! The best in Xian The staff are really friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. They will bend over backwards for you. We had a lovely private view room which was very nice and warm with a good shower. The bar and restaurant is a really cool place to hang out and use wifi. The staff made this hostel what it is. A pat on the back for them. So good, I couldn't convince my girlfriend to leave the hostel for Hua Shan!
