Great location from airport transfer and Taksim Square/main shopping center. Staff was kind and the facilities were cleaned daily. There's construction just outside the 10 bed window, so be prepared for some noise in the morning & water might be off briefly. Ensuite bathroom & shower was nice plus the extra bathroom just outside the door. Terrace is great even in the cooler months & the cafe attached to the Hostel serves delicious food. Many markets & cheap food options in the neighborhood.
its most closest hostel to Taksim so not only the location but also sort of faciilities and friendly staff will always attract me in my next visit.
Best Hostel to stay. Ultra friendly staff. They even care about discriminative behaviour. The rooftop balcony is amazing.
Excellent staff and terras. The hostel has great wifi and two comfortable areas to chill out. The cafe has great food!!
Bellavista Hostel is just epic and provides everything you'll need to enjoy the full potential of Istanbul. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily, the staff is talkative and knowledgeable about the city and there's always someone to have a chat with in the common room. But what I think distinguishes this hostel from the others is its location; it's a few blocks away from Taksim square in an authentic neighborhood where daily Turkish life unfolds itself. I'll definitely be back!
The hostel was average. The 10 bed dorm room was ridiculously hot with one fan that didn't reach all the beds. Windows had to be left open meaning mosquito bites in the night. The terrace on the roof is open all night it seems meaning people are really loud right outside the room well into the early hours of the morning. The staff were alright. On the plus side the hill other reviews say is bad is not that bad and it's easy to find. I wouldn't stay here again in summer.
Friendly staff. Met the owner and he was very insightful. Cute rooms. The place is a bit hard to find, even if it's close to Taksim Square and in an awkward slope, not very practical when traveling with suitcases or anything heavy.
Very nice place. Balcony on the fourth floor was a really great hang out spot - good mix of nationalities.

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel.b Once you get used to the hill to get to Taksim Square it's all good. The staff here was young and energetic and were more than willing to give suggestions if questions were asked. The rooms were perfect temperature, it was nice to walk into that after a long hot day of touring. Would recommend this place to friends.
The hostel is nice. I guess for the price, the dormitories worth it totally. However, a backpack bigger than 30cm doesn´t fit in lockers. The location is central and Turan street very active during the day but the surroundings were quite complicated at night. I wouldn´t recommend walking alone there except through Turan street. Other streets were not nice, dirty and dark and with many guys staring at you. Also, take into account that there is a mosque nearby and at 5am they pray really loud.
