My shower was disgusting. Free food was okay though. Front desk staff was friendly.

when we checked i was told that two of my party of 3 would be in a double room with a single person going into a dorm of four, i said that we had booked a 4 bed dorm and she said that it didnt guarantee we would be all in the same room.....i thought thats why you book things!!! i said was there anything we could do and she said we could put a mattress on the floor, hardly the best solution but we took it, the room hadnt been cleaned properly the bin was full from the last ppl, never going back!!

Owner Comment (Show)
It is clearly stated in our terms and condtions that if you book for more than one person, its not guaranteed you will be in the same room,it depends on the availability.Furthermore you booked two rooms, one person in maledorm B,two persons Maledorm E and that is how i allocated you.

The Hostel is conveniently located in Belsize Park, NW3 close to Finchley Road for transport to the airport and also to Central London. The staff were friently, efficient and made us feel welcome to London. the room was very clean. Overall we were very satisfied and definitely will recommend to our friends visiting London.

The staff was very helpfull in the reception. The sharing bedroom was ok, very spacious.Free breakfeast and dinner. Sat/Sun free breakfeast and lunch. But toilettes and showers are very old,no hangers for towel and clothes. Also some of staff and other people live there permanentelly, so they treat you as they are the owners of the room and create rules for you asking everyday when you are going to check out.

My second stay, didn't know dinner was included, that is a nice bonus. Everything was fine, I just avoided the smelly plastic box/shower so I can only criticize the spring mattress where you can feel all the metal springs :-). I wasn't painful though. A nice place to stay

Having a proper bed in a proper bright room with personal drawers and wardrobe for this cheap price is high value in London. Plus it came with private shower and washbasin, and two meals, nothing as a 4 start restaurant but large portions and cooked on the spot at the hostel's kitchen. The staff is nice and helpful and the area is beautiful and safe and well connected to the centre, actually you can just walk to Camden. More a guesthouse then the usual messy hostel. Recommended.

The value of the money is really good and the staff was good also. The food was not always good and one thing to get better is that there are no locked cupboards so the security of the belongs inside the room depends only of the character of the room mates.

I found the staff helpful and pleasant. I was fortunate enough to get a special offer which was excellent value for mon ey, given that there were two meals per day included. however, no fruit, eggs, or juice for breakfast. Evening meal was quite basic and made no allowance for vegetarianism or any other nutritional needs.

spacious rooms with individual beds (hurray, no bunk beds!), plenty of storage space, rather clean. Toilets ok, bathrooms however are a different issues - tiny, smelly, all plastic boxes not very nice at all. Breakfast is very, very basic but for the money it's a nice bonus.

Loved the neighborhood and very near the Belsize Park tube stop. Accommodations were nice, but I would have liked to see more of a communal area than just the living room in the main building. Also, a place to lock up luggage would provide peace of mind. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time there. Beautiful hostel!

I really enjoyed my stay in the Belsize House! I was happy to stay there in this calm and peaceful district of London The rooms were better as I expected them to be : instead of a 4 bed room (that I booked) I get a 2 bed room with a girl which was really nice . I met a lot of interesting people there, other travelers as well as the people working there which are all very kind . The meals included in the price were delicious and I would recommand staying there
