No lockers in the bedroom, so I had no safe place to keep my valuables. Receptionist said that it had been too complicated giving the guests keys to lock their items in their rooms, so they removed all the locks. Dirty bathrooms, bedroom floor covered in hair when I arrived and not cleaned until next day. Breakfast in the morning from 7-830, employee managing the kitchen was very aggressive about having us finish at 840 (turned lights off). Must buzz for reception to get in and out of hostel

Dirty, run down. Rude Reception Staff.

One member of staff actively makes me feel unconfortable . I didn't like his condescending actitud. He has to remember that we are customers and not children. That's a pitty because of him I put "average" for the staff instead of "excellent". It will be better if it was just a female only shower. The food is very bad and I would prefer to buy my own food and use the kitchen.

Reception was empty much of the time so it was difficult to check in.

Everything was pretty grotty and the wifi didn't work in our room, but good value for a place just a couple of tube stops from Camden.

the hostel was absolutely lovely, amazing location amd 18.50 per person for a twin room is amazing. we had a great time and will be back soon. i will recommend it to anyone

The location is quite good because it is near to the underground ststation. The staff was friendly. The facilities were quite poor; the room was a bit dirty and the toilets and the bathroom were very old, messy and a bit out-dated. Especially the shower was poor since you had to press the button all the time to get water.

Overall good location, friendly staff, but shower really complicated to wash

Good value for money. Quiet place to stay and very secure.

Great location! Love that it's individual beds and not bunk beds. Having a sink in the room is great, convenient for teeth brushing. I also enjoyed having a nigh stand. unfortunately my bed didn have an outlet near it but I think a long term guest mamay have rearranged the beds... The showers are very mouldy. Very musty. Not pleasant. It is nice having a light breakfast to start ththe day.

great for price. location decent. no atmosphere. would recommend to anyone trying to save cash.

The hostel is perfectly situated in the vicinity of Hampstead heath, Hampstead village and Camdem lock and market. Members of the staff are kind and considerate, which spirit is clearly instilled by the manager, mild and helpful Renato.

Really friendly staff and only a 5 minute walk from Belsize station. Excellent!

i had 3nights stay here, its located in zone2 of underground so its a bit costy if you planning to go city center often. But i really liked the place, its in compound, very calm, relaxed and beautiful place. there was some thing i wasnt comfortable, i stayed 5 female domitory and they didnt have security box. There is private cabinet which has keyhole, but there is no key for that. the bathroom key was broken and a cleaning lady came in while im in shower. If those will be improved, great(:

Belsize house is located in a very nice area 5 min walking from the tube station, the value for money is excellent however the cleanliness isn't up to standards. The breakfast they serve is very poor but overall not so bad if you planning to stay for a short time.

Not for backpackers. This is a Spanish house for new comers looking for jobs. Backpackers welcome just don't expect to make friends

Good Location, easy to get to with the tube. We stayed in a twin room, was okay but abit small and crammed. Was insanely hot in july, and no AC... The shared toilets and shower did not seem clean (the toilet were NOT clean, and didnt want to try out the not-so-hygienic looking shower). Had a sink in the room, which was nice. Free wifi in the room. Abit annoying that the cleaning-lady just locked herself in every morning, especially if you want to sleep in. Altso very loud beween the walls.

Great hostel, all you can eat breakfast is awesome! Nice location for metro, and very secure lockable doors.

To be honest i love Belsize park mostly due to the neatness of the bathroom and the toilet. However, sometimes i have the sense of lack of security in the no. 30 since there is no reception . Having stayed in no.2 bedroom of Belsize house annex (no 30) sometimes people stand in front of the building and smoke and the smoke comes right into the bedroom ie no. 2 which is on the ground floor with its big window close to the entrance to the building. Apart from this, I think everything is all right.

I would recommend Belsize house to install air conditioning if not some decent ventilation system. This is particularly for the basement rooms as they can get very hot - especially in the summer. Despite a member of staff being away on a lunch break and having to be kept waiting for 30mins before I could check in - the staff are friendly and happy to help. The location is great - perhaps 5/10mins walk to the nearest train station with good connections into central London.
