facility is really poor than i thought. the room was some mass, strange smell. so. i hope room bea more clen... then ,, take care..

Staff spoke good English and were always very helpful. We paid for dorms but got upgraded free to our own room. Great location but watch out some of the onsen are super hot!!

I had a blast staying at the Guest House. Ended up prolonging my stay twice! The staff were all friendly and the manager spoke great English. Had a lot of fun chatting with him. A lot of socializing with staff and other guests at night, cooking and drinking together. Private rooms were clean and comfortable and each had a sink. Shared toilets and shower also clean. Recommended.

There was only 1 bathroom.. so you will have to queue for a long time in the cold.... but location is very near the train station

I would not recommend this hostel, I found it old and run down, the staff did not speak english very well.

A nice and reasonable hostel conveniently located near the JR train station. Friendly staff and a friendly atmosphere is a selling point of the place, as people usually gather for meals or drinks in the common areas at night. There is only one shower in the house, but as you're visiting Beppu you should be heading out for onsen anyway.

Everything was really good.. The only negative thing is that there is only one shower in the house... but there are onzen all over the place in beppu and they are not expensive. Take a shower there in the evenings/night and in the morning you only need a quick wash at the hostel.No prob.

Great place, great atmosphere, very close to the train station. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The only drawback is that there's only one shower and the entire hostel uses it. Despite that, had an awesome time at this guesthouse.

The location is the best, very close to the Beppu Railway station. The staff where friendly. The ambiance was unique.

Located not far from Beppu station this hostel reminded me of my travels in Europe through over-used hostels with so many people coming and going that it has about as much hospitality as a highway hotel. That being said there was only 1 bath room to be shared b/w the first and second floor in addition to 1 shower. Multiple sinks but none had hot water if you want to shave. Fast WiFi, Dorms have fairly large beds as do the privates. If all you need is a place to sleep and a kitchen this is it.
