The owner is really nice and friendly

The location is the best, very close to the Beppu Railway station. The staff where friendly. The ambiance was unique.

Located not far from Beppu station this hostel reminded me of my travels in Europe through over-used hostels with so many people coming and going that it has about as much hospitality as a highway hotel. That being said there was only 1 bath room to be shared b/w the first and second floor in addition to 1 shower. Multiple sinks but none had hot water if you want to shave. Fast WiFi, Dorms have fairly large beds as do the privates. If all you need is a place to sleep and a kitchen this is it.

The location was excellent! Just 5min walk from the JR Beppu station. The hostel itself was old and like really need some work done. The bathrooms and toilets smelled. The host was helpful but not very nice. I wouldn't come back here again.

Good location, close to the station. Only one shower for the entire hostel, but thats the price. Good kitchen to use.

Spent most of my time away from hostel so my 'fun' rating is not relevant. Relaxing feel to this hostel. Friendly hosts. Great location. Enjoyed my stay.

I enjoyed my stay, I was travelling alone and stayed in a four-person room. The staff cleaned and vacuumed every day, but still my bed had bed bugs. I got very badly bitten and many times, even now after a month you can still see the spots. Bed bugs can be found anywhere however, as any traveller can bring them in, so I don't blame the hostel itself. They were even caring enough to buy me a treatment liquid for the bites.

I had an excellent stay there. The price was really cheap and the location is really convenient. The staff were friendly and even lent me a bike to cycle around the city in. All you need in a hostel!
