This is the best hostel I have stayed at in Scandanavia. Nothing brilliant but for Norway standards this is good value for money and would stay again! The only bad thing is that there were no working computers as mentioned, not everyone has WIFI!

This hostel was one of the few I visited in Scandinavia that include bed linen in the price, as well as offer secure lockers free of charge (that work without having to bring your own padlock). The staff however were relatively unfriendly and unhelpful, there seemed to be little atmosphere in the place, and all three computers were broken - a problem for us cavemen without our own laptop.

The place is in a good location. Decent relatively clean place. Not really cheap compared to other hostels in Europe but I guess as per Norwegian standards its ok.

Shower is ridiculous, has a 10 second timer on it. Room had a faint smell of urine from time to time. Other than that, not bad.

Well, the staff was not really friendly. We asked for a new bulp, because one light did not work and the answer was, that is not our business. And it went one like that.

nice terrace, friendly staff, very well located, good vibe but the problem was that inside the room there was no lockers ... i had to go to the common area.

A really, really nice hostel, great location and super nice staff. I have nothing to complain about :)

We were 3 ladies put in a shared room with a male who seems to have a more or less permanent stay at the hostel. We dont comprehend that at all. VERY small room with a male stranger. On the top of that that male person had an alcohol problem which we experienced on our last night where we did not close an eye. He was farting, vomiting, making phonecalls, had a male visitor and tumbling around in his drunkenness. There is no staff to contact - only securitas to call. Very poor indeed!

Everything was excellent to me! YMCA Bergen have my best recommendations!

Runs on a skeleton crew over winter - barely saw a staff member during my stay. Has everything you need, but not much happening there during winter. Comfortable place to stay.
