It is a really nice hostel, situated really centric and with a very nice staff. The most important thing is that it provides a lot of activities, like a guided tour for free around bergen. The room was excellent, with ensuite bathroom and with a lot of facilities within the room.

Main problem was the lights were not turned off in the dorm - everyone tried to sleep with the lights on all night. There are no instructions on how to turn off the lights and the staff on night duty did not know how to turn them off. The second problem was that on one night there was a fairly large choir practising in the dining room - they effectively took it over and there was hardly any room for people to eat and they certainly could not talk to each other. Not enough room in common area

Very well run hostel! Sheets and lockers are for free - something unusual in Scandinavia. The 32-bedroom reminds a bit on an orphanage, but people are still trying to be quiet at night. The late check- in via codes works pretty well. some of the staff members could be a bit friendlier tough.

I have never stayed at a hostel this close to the city center. (well, its actually ioin the middle of the city center). its nice and clean and safe.
