Clean, safe - nothing fancy but good value for the price.

The amount I had to pay on arrival was c. 10% higher than what HostelWorld advised me would be due (per my booking confirmation). Not impressed by this; you're providing misleading info (or charging a fee disguised as a booking deposit, which in fact is not a deposit at all since I had to pay full price on arrival!) I'll likely be reverting to hostelbookers.com next time around, as they charge no hidden fees.

The room was smaller than expected. The sheets that were provided had blood stains and hair on them. The fresh set of replacement sheets I received also had hair folded into them. The blanket between the mattress and the sheets had hair from three different people on it. When I informed the house keeping personal of this, they simply stated that this would happen anywhere else as well, proceeded to pluck the hair off the bed, throwing it on the ground, and claiming it was okay now. I left that

The sheets had hair stuck in them and blood spots. We asked for new sets of sheets, and checked each other's rooms, and the 5 sheet sets we checked all had hair. When we cancelled the rest of our reservation and checked out the next morning, the apologetic front desk clerk was arguing with the laundry contractor.

Thanks appreciated the free wifi and YMCA facilities (although I didn\'t use the latter). Chatting with fellow guests in dining area is pleasant.

The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The place was clean and comfortable -- cleaning staff seemed to do a good job.
