Great atmosphere, my wife got a discount for being beautiful :) one negative point: it's a bit tricky to find and I think the address has changed from when we booked it, so check it before you leave; nevertheless, a great place to stay - we highly reccomend it.

I dont have any complaints because the guy at the front desk gave us the wrong room. we booked a 6bed dorm room but instead were given a private room with a king bed!! great location. The main manager is a total douche but i just ended up being rude and sarcastic back to him and really entertained myself. The stove/oven doesnt work which is brutal because this amazing fish market is right next to the hostel and all you want to do is buy everything and cook it all up. i would stay again.

The location of this hostel is great, right in the commercial and historical center! The hostel itself, and especially it's staff (or management) were very poor. As I read in the comments below it's sad that I have to confirm that one of the two managers is a rude, agressive and(trying to be)intimidating Italian. I never before experienced such rude behaviour in all my travel experiences. On top of this the breakfast was almost a disgrace and rooms were dirty (f.ex. full ashtray).Dont recommend

Pretty much only fun because of the other guests staying there. Staff was useless as far as asking questions. Door to enter was left open and when the staff left the office where they stored my luggage, they did not lock it. Breakfast was stale cereal, weird-tasting milk, and some breakfast croissants (if you were lucky enough to get one of the 3 they put out there). All that aside, I would most likely stay here again.

i definitely wont recommend anyone to choose this hostel if you dont want such a bad expirence as mine to ruin your holiday . i asked if i can put my luggage in the room first, the guy at the reception said no and give me a reason "i dont want to go up and down the stairs", even there is already an empty bed. when my friend wanted to ask him, he said "you get out of here" in a very rude manner. they had a little argue. and the frence guy pushed him against the wall and almost broke the camera.

After having read the other reviews to this hostel I was a little scared of the "rude" manager but the guy we met when arriving in this hostel was really nice. We had booked 2 beds in a 6 bed dorm and he offered us an upgrade to a double room for only 10 euro extra. that means we had a great, clean, comfy room in the heart of venice for only 38 euro per person. Great value! I'd love to come back :)

Had an enjoyable stay here. It's not in an obvious location, but if you follow their directions you'll find it. Reception is only open when you say you're going to check in, so give them an accurate time. All in all it was very good.

Like previous reviewers commented, the set up is a bit weird. Had to walk through a 3 person room to get to my 5-person room. I also think I got bed bugs! I specifically chose this hostel because there weren't complaints of bed bugs, but I have several clusters of red bites on my neck and arms. But no one else complained of bed bugs and my friend stayed in the bed right next to me and didn't get bitten by mosquitos or bed bugs at all. The manager was rude. Only saving grace = excellent location.

Get off at Rialto Mercado on the one line. Take a right and keep going until you cross a little bridge. Take your first left and follow the numbers to 1615. You'll come to a point where the numbers jump from 1613 to 1611 or something to that effect. Go down the sketchy alleyway until you see a large wooden door, Ring and the guy will let you in, there is no sign on the door just on the buzzer. Owner goes to bed really early and demands quiet. Good location though.

the directions were wrong, I booked a 6 bed and they put me in a 8 bed dorm, and it was like a living room, everybody had to pass through our beds to get out of the room, coz there was a separate room behind. very noise, the doors were clinging. there's no reception, nobody to give you inf.

Great location and nice room with a large bed! Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was basic but better than nothing. Would reccomend as a great base to see the sights of Venice.

The hostel was in a good location. The room was nice but in regards to cleanliness quite dissapointing. The shower was awful!!! but the worst was the manager. He was extremely rude and unwilling to do what he is there for.

Clean, spacious, central Venice location, solid free wifi. Not too fond of the staff, but I'd stay here again for the excellent value. Hostels directions are accurate but inadequate. From the Rialto Bridge, go straight for several blocks before you find the little bridge. Look for a big sign "Sestier de S. Polo". Just to the right is a 1-meter wide alley leading to the hostel. Correct address is 1615, not 1612, which is an expensive-looking guesthouse. Expect to climb stairs.
