The Hostel has very well located in gamla Stan. The atmosphere however, is much more like in a hotel as partying or staying in the group rooms after 11pm is not allowed. If you want to be surrounded by the water and the beautiful buildings of old Stockholm this is a place to be. If you look for young travelers and fun you should rather book a different hostel!

Really enjoyed this hostel. Great location and staff were friendly and helpful! And have to love the free pasta! Free linen, breakfast and wifi was great too. Only downside was noise in morning from young children running around (not hostel fault as such, just due to families staying).

Amazing labyrinthine place with a lot of rooms and some lovely common areas. Ample and clean showers and toilets. standard twin room cramped compared with the other Best Hostel nearby - this one is also busier and noisier. Desk staffed 'til around 9pm, staff pleasant. Two kitchens but only one cooker for entire hostel, and it was broken, making free pasta a bit moot. Free coffee, handy location. Basically nice, but much more hectic than the other old-town Best.

Very good location, the view on the AF Chapman at night is very nice. The hostel is clean and it is possible to meet a lot of people thanks to the huge guests kitchen.

My small single room was very comfortable with a good bed. I enjoyed the possibility of free coffee at all time. Thank you.

I had problems because I booked one bed for me, but when I arrived there, they didn't have it, all the rooms was full. Then, they improvised another one for me.

When I decided to visit Stockholm solo, I wanted to find a central safe location and Best Hostel was perfect. I also booked a larger mixed dorm and security was never an issue. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and I had a wonderful experience conversing with other guests of hostel. It is definitely a bonus that there is breakfast every morning and coffee and pasta available for self-serve at all hours. I would definitely recommend staying for fellow travelers.

It was still a good place and we enjoyed our stay although it was just a place to crash.

That place is a bit of a labyrinth. I stayed in the 28 bed dorm which was almost empty with the low season. Maybe a better common room to meet other travelers would be great but the kitchens are very good. Location is perfect. Really central. Anyway I would come back here.

The hostel was good, specially for its location (probably the best located hostel in the city) and its atmosphere (since its big there are many young students you can meet...we actually partied every single day with different groups we met each day at the hostel, even for predrinking and stuff). It also has 5 computers and normally it was easy to use them (not too crowded). The staff was very helpful. Bad things: no lockers, luggage room quite full, but no big deal. I would probably return.

Good location in gamla stan, its a bit to walk if you wanna do Södermalm clubbing. Breakfast is a mess and its not superclean. However, I slept very well in my bed :)

We booked a double ensuite vor 6 days as well as an twin ensuite for 1 day (because no other room was 7 days in a row available) - but on our arival they offered us directly, without extra charges, a king size suite! so we saved around 200 € :). the complete week was awesome the hostle is very clean - you can cook in the 3 different kitchens for free pasta as well as free breakfast in the morning. If I'll visit stockholm again - definitely in this hostle!

Negatives: The double room (400) was the smallest room I have ever been and it was amazingly cold. Toilets and bathrooms were partially dirty, I think that you have to take care of it more. Positives: Staff was helpfull and kind, and the location of the hostel is very good. Regarding the price, I cannot understand why a hostel in Stockholm has the same price with some hotels that offer more services..

Best Hostel Old Town offers the best location of the city. It is among all important areas of Stockholm and you can even walk to the most important places, considering that the metro is quite expensive. Beds are very uncomfortable but the linen are included in the price (most hostel charge 4-6 €). A continental breakfast is included and the kitchens are not bad at all. I would recommend the place if you have just a couple of days to visit the city.

Curtains in private room didn't close completely, also can see through them at night of privacy. Duvet/quilt was small, not long enough for average person.

Nice staff. Rooms VERY small and bed far too small. One cannot sell a 120cm bed for a double bed....
