The hostel is really well located (around 5 minutes on foot from St. Sophia for example) and breakfast is great. But it seems like the safe box is not that safe (it's in a drawer unlocked in a sometimes unguarded reception) and the toilets/showers don't have any lock. The 16 beds dorm is really small, so I'd definitely advise to book a private, or a smaller dorm. Still, it was definitely worth the price, I wasn't expecting much,
We had a very nice stay at this hostel. Great location and in a very safe environment. Everything we needed was in close distance. Staff were friendly and offered us free breakfast. Free waterpipe at night time. Comfortable beds. Washing facilities. everthing was as described.
I just can say that it was mine and my homie worst experience ever in an hostel, thinking that we use different hostels at least 50 nights a year it is quite bad... Even though we payed 7 euros a night I would never expect that they are selling you the floor in a tuna can terrace where if you lie down you are kissing the guy next to you. It was so bad that we ended up sleeping on the street right in front of the hostel to have more privacy and feel more comfy. Super dirty. NASTY!!!
Dear readers, seriously, don't go here. Might be cheap but its a horror hostel. The rooms are so noisy and hot that people sleep in the corridors and on the roof (for which the owner charges a fine.) The owner couple are blatantly rude, grumpy and agressive. On the morning we left, they pshycally attacked a guest. They owners make up funnily ridiculous rules such as "washing a piece of clothing under the shower? 100 liras!" So, for a few liras more, just get a decent sleep somewhere else!

This hostel lacks the atmosphere of a travelers-hostel: no common room, no common kitchen, staff is not so friendly either - many people had problems with them. Besides that there were some other details to complain about such as no lockers, no locks on toilets and such. But the location and terrace (if there is any room) were quite nice.

I found the front of house lad rather rude and abnoxious, Her husband was rather nice, so where the cleaner/breakfast staff. all friendly, but coming home and communicating with the front office lady was very hard, She spoke english but just gave of an air of superiority and hostility towards us, and i did not feel like a welcome guest at all. The hotels next door staff where much friendlier for basic things like asking for directions or advice on what to do. the lady here is just rude/mean
I did not feel very good, the staff no friendly and the owner bully not be bad mannered, sorry.
Excellent location, just your usual basic hostel,
Not really friendly staff and the wifi worked well only in a couple of spots
Its just from two minutes by walking to Sultanahmed Square and 5 minutes to the Bosforus cost. They are some food magazines very closed also. The people that work on the hostel it's super friendly. We where all the nights talking, playing music, drinking beers...with lots of travellers. I really recommended this hostel that also, is the cheapest in the area.
The place was really enjoyable. The location can't be beat, but the dormitory 16 bed is really crammed, and there were NO LOCKERS! Some problems with the internet expressed by multiple people, but it seems one of the connections worked, the other was not working. All in all, we would come back. Good people, good place, good times
No lockers, but the people at the front desk will watch your stuff. although they are not always sitting at the desk and your stuff can be unattended, but the place is loaded with security cameras, so catching a thief I am sure is easy. I felt comfortable leaving my ipad and such at the front desk. I would stay there again.
Location is perfect, some of the staff are very nice. The only thing wrong was there was no lock on the bathroom door, so you either had 13 people walking in on you or you have to hold the door shut while you're in there
I was only coming back to Istanbul for one night and wanted somewhere cheap since I was leaving early for the airport. I paid 13 lira for a dirty mattress that looked like they pulled it out of a crack house. There were 6 mattresses on a covered balcony, supplied with dirty looking fleece blankets and pillows without pillow cases. The bathrooms were poorly equiped and they technically make you buy their beer and prohibit outside beer.
the stuff behaves was very bad. much dirty blankets and stairs was much narrow and dangerous.
Love the staff. They were pretty good and helpful. Also location of this hostel is awesome ! Ancient parts of the city are a few minutes of walking distance away. And sleeping with a beautiful Bosphorus view on the terrace was a really good experience as well...
Great deal for the money. The outdoor patio creates a very friendly atmosphere. The wifi was really unreliable so try and have your trip planned before you go to avoid frustration. They have an extemely adorable resident puppy named jo jo, which really adds to the atmopshere. :) Overall, we had a great experience!
