Unfortunately San Sebastian does not have great options for Hostels, too expensive, not value for money at all.
Please, everyone! Pay attention that the hostel is located on the Puerte St. NOT on Legazpi St. as Google still thinks=P Small, very clean hostel in the very heart of the Old City of San Sebastian. Wifi works well, the kitchen is small, but very well-equipped. The price was probably too high, but it is a common thing for San Sebastian in general
Cozy hostel in the wonderful Donostia. Excellent location, though noisy at night. Staff very helpfull, they allow me to leave my luggage after check out. Recommended for short stays. Edu.
We paid 30€ for one night in a dirty, very loud, small and Dark bedroom. Too expensive! There were loud noises the whole Night until 7 a.m. because of the bars right below the flat. It was extremly difficult to find because there is no Sign Outside. We werent sure of its even a real hostel. It's just a private flat with 3 bedrooms. We didnt feel comfortable at all and we cannot recommand this place.
Beyond the location that was absolutely amazing and the only thing worth the stay, my friends and me had an horrible experience there: receptionist was really not caring, he didn't even ask us for IDs and told us just "your room is over there". Cleaning: beds and bathroom dirty. Above all at night we were sleeping and a drunk man broke in with his head from the door, switched on the light screaming and the receptionist knew and in the morning looked like he didn't care. Awful, rude and bad.
